AttorneySync grows law firms with data. Memento mori. 🗽 + ☕️ 9th & 10th Amendments. Nuance enforcer.
Anthony Albrecht inspired this one. He writes: "This is something I think about more or less daily. As a Linky specialist totally outside the firms I support, attribution is really hard. I say up front that I don’t do lead gen, that I don’t know exactly how this dark social stuff works, just that it works. I offer a full money-back guarantee on the first quarter of every contract, and core value #2 is We don’t sell posts. By that, I mean we don’t judge success by whether stuff simply gets made or even by whether posts move well. I often lead with vanity metrics out here as a signal that I know what I’m doing. It’s my marketing. But our value prop isn’t about those metrics. It’s about the opportunities that traction and reach here bring. " https://lnkd.in/ebZ6YuNT He gets it. Leading indicators (aka vanity metrics) have a role. It's just that they're not business metrics. Ultimately, growth resources must be accountable for growth business metrics. The problem is that many businesses lack sufficient data infrastructure. Which makes it impossible to understand client journeys. Which causes them to be susceptible to relying on vanity metrics. Round and round we go. The fix: Alignment on objective(s). Alignment on measurement and management. Alignment on technology stack. Alignment on attribution model and data infrastructure. Alignment on quantitative and qualitative attribution data. At a minimum, "How did you find us?" Or Conrad's, "Who can we thank?" Collect that in your CRM. Warehouse this data. Compare across data sources. Derive a clearer picture of what's contributing to growth. Do I know LinkedIn is driving growth? I do. And THANK YOU, Ron.

I need your help. Please take a stand. Stand up for people of faith in America. Stand up for Marc and his family. Stand up against corporate corruption and evil. Marc worked for Haven Hospice. He told a group of volunteers about his personal journey into hospice work. Marc is a devout Catholic. He felt called by God to work in hospice. A prominent volunteer complained about Marc. She was a staunch atheist. Haven wrote Marc up and reprimanded him. His crime? He said God at work and talked about his faith. He was told never to mention God again during his work. Marc went out on FMLA leave because the stress at work was aggravating his heart condition. On June 29th, 2022, Haven revoked Marc's FMLA leave, fired him from his job, and cut off his health insurance -- insurance where he had already paid the monthly premium. If that's not bad enough: Marc was scheduled for emergency heart surgery on June 30th. But without health insurance, his surgery was canceled. It keeps going and it gets even worse. You can read the whole story in the GoFundMe page. Folks, you know me. You know who I am. You know what I stand for. You know that I have fought the good fight on behalf of regular Americans for 10+ years. You know my word is my bond. So I am telling you this: Marc Andreozzi is one of the best human beings I have ever met. This man is an angel walking among us. I do believe he has been called by God, that God has touched him and his life, and that God has given him the gift to serve and comfort and minister to others. I love this guy. I co-sign on this guy. I am going to bat for this guy against all odds. Please help Marc if you can. Even if you cannot donate, that's ok. Please share this and spread the word. Share it with anyone who will care. Thank you. Just keep going. Keep the faith. JP

How big is the gap between where you are and where you want to go? What growth stage are you in? How much should you invest in growth? How should you deploy those investments? How do you know you spent it wisely? What’s your median case value? What’s your target cost per case? What’s your median lead to fee time? How are you capturing quantitative AND qualitative attribution data?
It's time to start building a new path. This path would be free of algorithms and closed loops. For the past few years, I've shared as much as possible on here to help law firms navigate the sometimes complex world of legal marketing. Now, don't get me wrong, this is a seriously powerful platform. There's just a desire to share more of what's working (and what's not) without being filtered. I also need to practice more of what I preach, diversify my approach, and open up direct lines of communication with connections and followers. So, a handful of weeks ago, I started shipping a weekly Friday e-mail to share all the latest and greatest in legal marketing. No sales pitches. No fluff. Real actionable insights to help grow your firm. I'm still going to post here with relatively the same consistency, but I look forward to starting a new journey. And if you have any interest in coming along for the ride? Head over to the footer of legalfenix[.]com to register. We'll keep the conversation going one insight at a time. LegalFenix 📧

A law student asked me how I would start a personal injury law firm with 10k in the bank. Here’s what I told him… You don’t have enough money to compete with firms who market in the space so don’t fight that fight. You won’t have money but you will have time. You need to be prepared to hustle, get your hands dirty, and learn everything you can. Nothing should be beneath you. Make a list of every PI firm within a 20 mile radius of you. Connect with all of them. Let them know that you have opened a firm and would be interested in accepting referrals of cases that aren’t worth their time. Every firm has these cases. Work every case as hard as you can. Give your clients great service. Connect with the providers who treated them. You are going to work long hours and the money may not be great. But you know what? Some of those cases will turn out to be much better than you thought at first because you are working them. The clients will appreciate you because their case is getting attention. They will refer friends and family to you. And they may leave you a review. All the while invest in building a website, doing CLEs, and getting reviews. Make yourself known in the community to clients and referring lawyers that you do good work. In a few years, you will have more business than you can handle. Do the things most people won’t and you’ll achieve things most people can’t.
