Leong Leong is an internationally recognized architecture studio and design consultancy based in New York City. "If it wasn’t for the six-foot-tall sculpture of an immaculately rolled joint in the foyer of the Union Square outpost of The Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store, you might not know that you’re entering a cannabis store. The space, designed by the architecture firm Leong Leong, belongs in the same family as New York City’s retail temples—the Khaites, Kiths, and Aesops of the world that demonstrate how good retail is about a lot more than a transaction." Part of the City Cortex initiative, Leong Leong's innovative project "Lily Pad" reimagines the city as a playground using high-temperature, pressure-formed cork agglomerate to create sculptural elements. This New York-based architecture and design studio crafted a new micro urban landscape for visitors of all ages. The unique transformation of cork creates a naturally darker, strongly-scented material, arranged organically and fluidly. Leong Leong’s urban sculptures invite everyone to experiment and explore this new sensorial landscape, blending rest and play in a dynamic and engaging environment. Available for public use, it is located in the MAAT Garden, in Lisbon. Check out the impactful creation at https://lnkd.in/dMSFGcDK Experimentadesign ArtWorks. Amorim Cork Composites

Senior Vice President Global Real Estate, Architecture and Development

I am delighted to welcome Chris Leong as our Senior Director of Interiors at MillerKnoll. This role reinforces our integration between our architecture, showroom interiors and experience teams. With extensive experience in executing thoughtful commercial, residential, and retail experiences for companies that range from Brookfield Properties to Everlane and Phillip Lim to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Chris will provide a valuable approach to designing at the intersection of art and culture.    The position cements a longtime creative partnership between MillerKnoll and Chris's studio, Leong Leong - a collaboration that began with OfficeUS, a prototype workspace for the future of architectural offices, presented at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale, and has blossomed into ongoing furniture collaborations over the past decade.
