In the spirit of #NewBlackHistoryMakers… On this second day of #BlackHistoryMonth my thoughts and thanks goes out to an Award-winning Writer-Producer-Director-Visual Artist. During our conversations over the years (often over a Swedish Fika), she has opened my eyes, mind, and heart to many different challenges and opportunities, as well as introduced me to several other tremendously successful non- and for-profit organizations founded by #blackwomen. Throughout her professional career - she has put words into the mouths of Academy Award winners, comedians, politicians and everyday folk alike. From A&E to BET to PBS, she has amassed an impressive list of writing credits that include the landmark comedy series "In Living Color" and The Los Angeles Times, volunteered for numerous organizations, written books and created art. All of this plus more - while being a mother, grandmother, and role-model for so many others. #THANK_YOU for all that you do, for your support and encouragement. We are also preparing for our inaugural #EFESummit which will have a focus on Youth and People with Disabilities Founders. Lots to be done and much more fun plus better outcomes, when working #together!!
