Celebrating a Major Milestone with Google 🌍 Using LEAP™, LevelTen Energy’s Accelerated Process™, Google has used this game-changing approach to cut PPA negotiation and execution timelines, enabling faster progress toward a carbon-free future. Here’s what Google shared in their latest blog post: “The results since we started using this process have been meaningful: we’ve signed contracts to purchase over 3.3 GW of new clean energy generation capacity across North America and Europe, and we’ve cut the time required to negotiate and execute these PPAs by roughly 80%." Clean energy buyers are ready for the next step in carbon-free energy procurement. Our latest survey shows more than 80% of buyers with huge electricity needs (>1 TWh) are interested in time- and location-based energy tracking using GCs. With near-term demand for GCs reaching 27 TWh annually - enough to power 2.5 million homes for a year - the need is clear. The challenge? GCs are still limited in availability. That’s why, with support from the Granular Certificate Trading Alliance, we’re launching the Registry Acceleration Fund RFP, offering up to $1M to organizations developing the capacity to certify and track GCs. The Fund will: ✅ Help registries modernize and scale GC certification systems globally. ✅ Foster an ecosystem of technology providers and partnerships to bring GCs to market.
