Providing safe and reliable service to our customers is always our top priority, but we also believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Last year our employees and retirees raised nearly $2 million benefiting more than 50 nonprofit organizations through our annual employee-led charitable giving campaign, the Power of One. In addition to the nearly 200 employees who took part in our 2024 Day of Caring, our employees spend countless hours outside of work volunteering within their own neighborhoods. We are extremely proud of their support of the community in 2024, and we look forward to building on those efforts throughout 2025. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gYuDA5Ss

The water continues to rise along portions of the Ohio River impacting some of our customers. Our crews have proactively disrupted natural gas and electric service in certain areas of high water out of an abundance of caution. We understand being without power or natural gas for any amount of time is inconvenient, and we appreciate our customers’ patience. We’re continuing to coordinate with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Weather Service, and local and state officials to assess river conditions and take precautions as necessary to protect our systems and keep those in the area safe. The safety of our customers and everyone in the area remains our top priority. Our crews are staged and prepared to restore service once water recedes, and it is safe to do so. Visit lge-ku.com/safety/flooding for tips on what to do when the floodwaters to rise as well as important steps to take when the floodwaters recede.
