We were proud help celebrate the grand opening of Stellar Snacks, the most significant economic development project in West Louisville in more than 20 years. The company distributes its products to more than 5,000 grocery and retail stores nationwide and are also offered as in-flight snacks on Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines and Emirates. “We’re proud to have played our part as the energy provider in the successful launch of Stellar Snacks here in West Louisville, which will have a dramatic, positive impact on the economy of this entire area,” said LG&E and KU President John Crockett. “With this new, first-class manufacturing facility, Stellar Snacks had specific energy needs and timelines, and we’re glad we could meet those needs safely and reliably.” To help get Stellar Snacks up and running, our Gas Operations team installed more than 500 feet of high-pressure main and service piping and an industrial metering station at their 434,000-square foot building on Dixie Highway.

Today is Utility Scam Awareness Day, and we’re joining Utilities United Against Scams (UUAS) in their efforts to educate customers and expose the tactics used by scammers. Scammers continue to get bolder in their attempts to take advantage of customers, oftentimes showing up at their doors pretending to be affiliated with LG&E and KU. We want to remind customers to be aware and take caution if this happens to you. It’s important those claiming to be associated with the utilities demonstrate they are who they say they are. Visit lge-ku.com/safety/scams for more information, including examples of the latest reported scams. #StopCams

Business customers have rated Kentucky Utilities Company as one of the highest performing electric utilities for customer satisfaction among its peers in the Midwest midsize region. The honor was awarded yesterday by J.D. Power, a global leader in consumer insights, advisory services and data and analytics, during the company’s recently released 2024 U.S. Electric Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study. “We’ve seen significant storms throughout 2024, so for business customers to recognize us in this fashion is a tribute to our hardworking employees,” said Shannon Montgomery, LG&E and KU vice president--Customer Services. “Customer satisfaction is core to our company values, and our employees pride themselves on treating customers with professionalism and respect.” Louisville Gas and Electric Company, KU’s sister company, followed closely behind and ranked fourth in the Midwest midsize region.
