We are so proud of our SOS Team! SOS, or Safe Options Support, is a program that connects individuals who are experiencing chronic homelessness with the services and supports they need to bring them lasting housing stability. In 2023, Liberty Resources had the honor of being awarded a grant from the New York State Office of Mental Health to establish an SOS program in Monroe County. The SOS Teams from all across New York were featured in the Office of Mental Health's newsletter for the fall season! These teams are doing very important work and are comprised of extremely dedicated individuals. It's a group we're proud to be a part of, and we here at Liberty know just how much our own SOS Team cares for their community. We were proud to be represented at the Association for Community Living, Inc.'s #ACLAIMH45 conference by multiple Liberty staff members, including Lisa Nichols, who presented on behalf of our SOS program! The SOS program provides intensive outreach, engagement and services to individuals living with mental illness who are unhoused and unsheltered. This year's ACLAIMH theme is "Meeting the Defining Challenge of our Time," which is certainly a theme that resonates with everyone here at Liberty.
