As we wrap up 2024, Lifeline ended the semester on a festive note with Pajama Day! Students enjoyed a day of creativity, making holiday cards, and watching The Polar Express — a heartwarming way to celebrate the season. We hope all our students, staff, and families have a relaxing and restful winter break. What an incredible day celebrating the holidays with the students and staff at Lifeline! This Wednesday, we hosted a memorable holiday party in the gym, filled with holiday music, karaoke, delicious food, and even a visit from the Grinch. Thanks to the ongoing support of our Lifeline corporate sponsors, our students received the holiday gifts they had wished for—making the day even more special. We are so thankful for the continued generosity of our community, and it’s heartwarming to witness the joy and laughter that fill these moments. #CommunityImpact #LifelineFamily #Gratitude #HolidayCelebration #holidayparty

We're excited to introduce Lifeline’s new Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) program in Queens! This outpatient service is designed for children ages 5-18 who have experienced trauma, whether it’s acute or chronic. Best part? It's grant-funded, so there’s **no insurance requirement** at this time!!! TST helps kids develop emotional regulation skills, recognize trauma triggers, and create a stable, supportive home environment— all while actively involving parents in the process. The program runs Tuesdays through Saturdays, offering flexible afterschool hours. The typical treatment length is 9-15 months, depending on the child’s progress. No psychiatric diagnosis required to enroll, and psychiatric assessment & medication management are available if needed. We're also happy to collaborate with schools to support the child’s progress. If you or someone you know could benefit from this program, get in touch! #TraumaSystemsTherapy #ChildMentalHealth #TherapyForKids #QueensNY #SupportKids #FamilyEngagement #MentalHealthMatters

Do you know about our Mindful Moment program: a blend of yoga and mindfulness designed to help children develop emotional self-regulation, cope with challenges, and build resilience. Through focused breathing, movement, and mindfulness techniques, kids learn to stay present, reduce anxiety, and thrive both in and out of the classroom. #MindfulMoment #WellnessForKids #Yoga #Mindfulness #EmotionalRegulation #StressRelief

Lifeline isn't just for youth—it's for guardians too! We're excited to share our grant-funded program for older adult and grandparent guardians, led by our skilled therapist, Ms. Rebecca Whilby. This initiative provides invaluable support for those navigating the challenges of caregiving. Here’s what the program offers: No cost to participants (thanks to grant funding!) Monthly in-person group meetings with breakfast/lunch, fostering connection and community Virtual workshops on stress management, parenting skills, and mental health education Flexible scheduling for group and individual sessions (available Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 3 PM) Opportunities to connect to essential services like SNAP, Medicare, and Medicaid This program creates a space where older guardians can build meaningful connections, share experiences, and receive practical support.
