I recently had the pleasure of joining Harsh Thakkar on Life Sciences 360 to talk about something I'm incredibly passionate about: science marketing. In this episode, we explore why some scientific breakthroughs thrive while others struggle to gain traction—and how smart marketing strategies can make all the difference. We discuss: ✅ The biggest mistakes life sciences companies make ✅ How to build credibility and shorten sales cycles ✅ The psychology behind ads (and what you can learn from them) ✅ Why conferences and live demonstrations can be game-changing ✅ How to communicate complex innovations to decision-makers and investors If you're in biotech, medtech, or pharma — or if you're just curious about how science marketing works — I hope you'll give it a listen. Check out the clip below for a quick preview! Episode link in the comments. #ScienceMarketing #LifeSciences #Biotech #Innovation #Marketing

69 new drug launches are targeted for 2025… but how many will actually succeed? Hint: Not all of them. Getting a drug from clinical trials to market should be the final lap… but for most companies, it’s where things fall apart. So what separates the winners from the ones that don't make it? In this week's episode of Life Sciences 360 podcast, I sit down with Daniel Cummings—a commercialization and go-to-market strategist who’s helped 10+ health tech start-ups break it all down. Dan shares the 6️⃣ essential elements every pharma company needs to master, including: ✅ The 1-sentence rule for explaining your clinical value. ✅ Why companies fail at market access, pricing & reimbursement. ✅ The smartest way to summarize your economic & patient value. Oh, and about those 69 drug launches? Dan has a bold prediction that might surprise you. You can watch the full conversation here → https://lnkd.in/ezQmy8nP

It's hard to forget this quote from Rob Freishtat. Only 8-25% of drugs make it through FDA approval. But here's the kicker: Most failures aren't due to bad science. 🤯 The real reason? Or two reasons I should say. Rob Freishtat, MD, MPH, CEO of Uncommon Cures®, reveals the uncomfortable truth in our Season 3 premiere of Life Sciences 360 podcast. And it's something that can be fixed with: • Better clinical trial design • Smarter patient engagement • Re-thinking traditional recruitment methods • Aligning the incentives for all stakeholders in the trial Listen to the full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/eajnPXdF

Good news: 485,000 active clinical trials as of 2024. Bad news: 57% of them will fail. Here's why: ↳ It's not the science ↳ It's not the regulations ↳ It's not even the funding Season 3 of Life Sciences 360 podcast launches today. And the season opener is all about clinical trials. I sat down with Rob Freishtat, CEO of Uncommon Cures, to expose the real problems killing clinical trials (and burning millions of dollars). 5 brutal truths we covered: • Why patient recruitment is the hidden killer • Where pharma companies waste the most money • How misaligned incentives destroy good trials • Where AI actually matters (and where it doesn't) • The solution nobody's talking about 43 minutes that could prevent your next trial from failing. 🎥 OUT now: https://lnkd.in/e4mFrGgF

I spent 13 hours past week reviewing stats for Life Sciences 360 podcast that I launched in Feb 2023. Guess what I found? Before I share that, let me say this: never in my wildest dreams did I think I would record 72 episodes about biotech startups, ambitious founders, and innovative scientists. But after all the reps this one stat makes my eyes burn. It's like staring at the sun without sunglasses. Ready for it? So far, I have got 6 reviews on the podcast. That's it. 6 reviews is like… - Feeding 200 people at a restaurant, but only 6 review it. - Having only one coworker listen to your first podcast. - Dropping a fire meme... but your group chat says "seen" And here’s the truth: Podcasts with more ratings = more discovery. More discovery = I get to keep doing this and make even better content for you. For free, served to your ears and eyes. So here’s my 1 small ask: If you listened, enjoyed, or even just hate-followed me… Please go leave a review. ✅ 30 seconds on Apple. ✅ Quick rating on Spotify. Costs you nothing, painless and worth me a ton. I’ll be back in February with a new season—new episodes, bigger ideas, and a higher level of value. If you never heard of the podcast, check out the top 5 episodes in comments so you can binge watch. P.S. Hey Thenry1989, whoever you are, wherever you are, thank you for this amazing review (pic below) 🙏 P.P. S Oh, and guess where our number of listeners was highest? Copenhagen. Second highest? Frankfurt. Sherman Oaks, CA came in third. Followed by Piscataway, NJ and... Ahmedabad, India for fifth. That's out of 847 cities where our listeners tuned in from 72 countries. Wild!

I’m done with the Life Sciences 360 podcast. When you have a newborn at home, get 4 hours of sleep each night, and juggle dad duties with active consulting projects, something has to give. Right now? It’s the podcast. So Life Sciences 360 is officially on a break for the rest of the year. But before we hit pause, here’s where we’re at—thanks to YOU: - 1040 subscribers on Y**Tube - 2764 downloads on podcast platforms - tons of impressions on podcast clips on LinkedIn To every listener, viewer, and guest—you made this possible. 🙌 Now, why the break? Well, let’s just say recording podcasts with dark circles under my eyes isn’t a great look. But don’t worry—we’re coming back with new episodes starting late January. And I need YOUR help to make them even better: - What topics should we cover? - Can you name or tag a guest you want to hear from? - Any tweaks to the format, length or style? Drop your thoughts in the comments or DM me—I’d love to hear from you. P.S. If you have never heard of the podcast, check out the links in the comments.

Worms... curing autoimmune diseases? Say what?! 🐛 Yeah, I know—it sounds weird. But here's the connection... When I first sat down with Andrea Choe, CEO of Holoclara Inc, to record this, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Now that I think of it, this episode was a mind-bender in the best way possible. Andrea broke down how worm-derived therapies might actually help treat autoimmune diseases like Crohn’s and allergies. Here’s what we dove into: - The crazy way roundworms evolved molecules that could potentially treat immune conditions - Worm pheromones (yep, that’s a thing) that have been around for over 500 million years - How this discovery could completely flip the script on immune health Not gonna lie, this episode made me time travel—understanding the bizarre yet powerful connection between animals and human health. 👉🏼 Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ejsEEBcf

Imagine catching Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease years before symptoms appear. Over 50 million people worldwide suffer from neurodegenerative diseases like ALS, Dementia and Parkinson’s disease, but early detection has remained a challenge. It’s all about studying misfolded proteins and Amprion’s breakthrough diagnostic tools focus is to catch these diseases earlier than ever before. On this week's podcast, I had an exciting conversation with Russ Lebovitz, CEO of Amprion. We talked about: - how Amprion’s SAAmplify-ɑSYN test detects misfolded proteins - the impact early diagnosis could have on treating Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and ALS - how personalized medicine is becoming more of a reality And what the future holds as diagnostics continue to improve.
