    My friend Kevin Delaney won ComplexCon in my opinion. He's an actual OG who saw the rise, fall, and rebirth of foundational streetwear brand - one that charted the path that gave birth to the Hundreds, BBC, Palace, and Hellstars of the world. The one and only Lifted Research Group. So how do you re-introduce a now-mass brand to a younger generation hungry for history and purpose? Support the next generation. Use your resources to give them a platform. Not only that, he cleverly leaned into all of the roadblocks in their way - the "death" of streetwear, the ubiquity of hoodie brands, and the mall-ification of what was once the COOLEST brand you could wear. And all through the lens of their iconic "Dead Serious" hoodie - one of the museum-tier pieces of the golden age of streetwear. Streetwear IS dead. Get it? In the 90 or so minutes I spent in front of the booth, I saw the full range of attendees (14-40 something) spend meaningful time with the hoodies - seeing reinterpretations of the piece done by their favorite brands as the hook, and ultimately learning the history and importance of the brand in creating the world they now love. Rappers, influencers, athletes - they all loved it. Not only that, but I clocked someone wearing a hoodie they DID sell about every five minutes I walked around the floor. That's the best KPI of them all. Congrats Kev.

  • Some BTS of the creation of the Sean Wotherspoon and Round 2, 1 of 1 Dead Serious Hoodies!! Available for your viewing pleasure at Complexcon this weekend!! Hoodies were fully upcycled using pants from our previous LRG x Round 2 collaboration. Sean’s was created using some of his favorite R2 denim samples as well!! a HUGE shoutout to Matt Diego, Sean and the R2 family for making sure this project came to life!! 🌀🌲💀

  • Streetwear is Dead... (Serious) LRG will reveal eleven designers’ takes on its iconic DEAD SERIOUS hoody at ComplexCon 2024 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, November 16-17. The LRG DEAD SERIOUS hoody is an iconic brand staple that has been part of LRG’s design legacy for more than 25 years. Famously worn by YE (Kanye West) at Paris Fashion Week in 2006, and recently worn by ComplexCon curator and headliner Travis Scott.
