Do you enjoy snow days? Taylor doesn’t. While many of us appreciate a cozy snow day at home, Taylor can’t wait to get back to Lighthouse. Why? For him, it’s more than a job but a place with purpose, growth and friendly banter with co-workers. For Taylor and so many others, Lighthouse isn’t just a workplace—it’s a community to look forward to every single day.

For many of us, the process of finding a new job is daunting. That is why Lighthouse offers Employment Service Programs such as OVR. In the OVR program, people work one-on-one with an Employment Specialist to discover their ideal job and receive the on-site training to ensure success. Individuals learn job seeking skills such crafting a resume, conducting a job search and filling out job applications. Once an individual lands a job, the experienced staff provide over 40 hours of on-site job training. Individuals learn tips that set them up for success such as how to find the time clock, and how to find meaningful support connections at work. Through the support of the staff, an individual launches into working independently in the community. Daisy P. works as a stocker at the Dollar Tree.
