  • We're excited to share about our ongoing collaboration with Kanthal, a global leader in industrial heating technologies. We began our partnership with Kanthal in the first quarter of this year to develop, budget, and plan for their new manufacturing facility in Concord, NC. This industrial upfit —now in full swing—will maximize Kanthal's existing space and support their growth. Phase one of the project consisted of expanding the footprint of Kanthal and erecting a new demising wall and placing a concrete ramp to create a storage and shipping area for Kanthal products. We worked closely with A&W Electric to ensure all equipment needs in phase two would be supported by an improved electrical package and a larger transformer. Phase two will include an improved electrical room, rigging machinery/manufacturing equipment, and installing a work platform to support Kanthal’s new process and procedures. Though Kanthal is a global company, Liles is proud to be sourcing solutions for this project locally, from custom metal fabrications to specialized machinery. Our local partnerships have allowed us to meet Kanthal's unique requirements right here in the Carolinas. We look forward to completing this project in early 2025 and delivering a first-class, upgraded facility for Kanthal. • The entire Liles Construction team enjoyed a great day of sporting clays at Rocky Creek Sporting Clays this past week. From beginners to experienced pros, everyone got in on the fun! Our employees truly make our company what it is. We love getting the chance to thank them with a well-deserved day away from their job sites and time together as a team. Congrats to Tournament Winner Jake Haire who only missed five clays on the day! Congrats to the Winning Team – Noah Carlson, Stan Jones Jr., Marvin Atkins, and Justin Shore.

  • We're excited to share our latest Upstate project starting construction: the revitalization of the Greenville State Farmers Market! This 16,000 square foot facility offers fresh produce and plants sourced from South Carolina farms year-round. Liles' renovation includes a complete overhaul of the interior and exterior façade, giving the market a fresh, modern look. We’ll be highlighting the building with a new cedar canopy at the main entrance, enhancing the structure's visual appeal and providing shade for shoppers. The project also includes on-site offices for market staff. The Greenville State Farmers Market is beloved by the community, and Liles Construction is proud to play a part in its facelift. The project is slated for completion in Spring of 2025. Project Team: - PM – Randal Ellison - PE – Zachary Biggin - Super – Marvin Atkins - Architect - DP3 Architects

  • The Liles Construction team has stepped up in huge ways to serve our communities in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. So far, our team members have mobilized to: - Provide 23 temporary toilets for first responders without amenities in the Old Fort, Black Mountain, and Asheville areas. (Halftime Rentals - Portable Toilets Has been doing AMAZING work getting temp facilities to WNC) - Clear and remove trees throughout Spartanburg and Western NC. - Complete a variety of home repairs for local homeowners across North and South Carolina. - Donate and deliver multiple car, truck, and trailer loads of supplies to aid the efforts of organizations working in devastated areas. - Build multiple mobile shower units for relief workers and displaced citizens in Elk Park, NC. Thanks to Morrison Brothers Building Ctr and Ben Hendley Inc for partnering on these units! - Assess storm damage for local home and business owners to assist with insurance claims. - Fundraise thousands of dollars for donating to organizations providing resources and supplies.  - Helped clear the Cottonwood Trail system in Spartanburg and other parks. - Stabilize multiple flooded historic buildings in the River Arts District by boarding windows and removing mud and mold. And more! Thank you to our amazing Liles Construction employees who continue to GO BEYOND to serve during this critical time. We could not be more proud of what our team has been able to accomplish these last few weeks, and it would be difficult to overstate its impact. Many we have helped have responded with tears of gratitude. We know the work is far from done, and we are committed to doing everything we can to continue supporting relief efforts across our beloved Carolinas.
