It is amazing to share these successful cases with you! 🙏 This is the story of Sava, a 4-year-old mixed-breed dog, was brought to FuzioVet Animal Hospital due to her lameness. After a thorough physical examination and a CT scanning, Dr. Bence Lengyel diagnosed Sava with a Grade-4 patellar luxation in the left hind limb. To address this, Dr. Lengyel utilized LimesVet's TroCa implant system and performed a distal femoral osteotomy to achieve optimal results. A custom surgical guide was also created, enabling precise planning and execution of the drillings and cuts required for both procedures simultaneously. Lexi is a 1.5-year-old chihuahua who came to FuzioVet Animal Hospital with spinal hypersensitivity. It occured multiple times with her, that she suddenly whined and threw herself during the walks. Sometimes she also started circling or whined when she was petted. CT and MR scans showed the abnormal displacement of the second cervical vertebra. This atlantoaxial instability was corrected with a custom-designed and 3D-printed implant, for which we made various visualizations and designed and manufactured the corresponding drilling guide. Sharing another successful case with you today! The case of Grincs 🐱 Grincs is a 2-year-old European Shorthair cat who suffered a hindlimb fracture and underwent surgery on his right tibia. Due to an infection, the surgical plate had to be removed, resulting in a tibial non-union as the two ends of the bone did not fuse! After consulting with Dr. Seregi, we were asked to create a customized implant that would not only stabilize the two separated bone parts but also connect their adjacent ends in a way that would allow bone growth through it. We designed a morphologically fitting surgical plate with a latticed connection and a corresponding cutting guide. The surgery proceeded as planned, and the placement of the custom-made implant was successful.
