Littlefoot proudly sponsored Lineage’s Food Chain Innovation Challenge in San Francisco this week, which showcased innovative technologies aimed at tackling post-harvest food waste. Participants competed for a chance to win a cash prize, a $50,000 award, and the opportunity to join an incubator program to advance their solutions. At the event, we connected with inspiring food waste innovators and our Partnerships & Client Engagement Lead, Sophia Vanderheym, shared valuable insights on crafting effective messaging to scale innovation and attract investment. A big congratulations to Ryp Labs for winning the regional challenge! Their groundbreaking biomimicry solutions, Shelf-Defense and StixFresh, use food-safe labels and stickers to double the shelf life of fresh produce—offering a simple, sustainable, and safe way to combat global food waste.
