In Choluteca, Honduras, water scarcity severely impacted the community, especially schools. Dooglas Aguilar, a 47-year-old teacher, recalled, "Lacking sufficient safe water meant we had to collect funds to purchase additional water or request the municipality to send water trucks... We had to cancel classes for a whole day because the filth was extreme, and the threat to students’ health was high." Living Water International implemented a piped water system, providing safe, reliable water to the community. Dooglas expressed his gratitude: "Now that we have plenty of safe water, we can give back to those who have helped us. We hope our school will be exemplary of a healthy educational center with safe water, functional bathrooms, and a decent space for the children to wash their hands."

Heavenly Father, We lift up all those affected by the ongoing wildfires sweeping through California— our Living Water community, church communities, families, first responders, and everyone in harm's way. Lord, we pray for their safety, peace, and strength during this time of uncertainty and loss. Comfort those who are grieving and provide refuge for those who have lost homes or livelihoods. May Your presence bring hope and peace to every heart impacted. In Jesus' name, amen.

In Uganda's Bumwena West community, residents faced daily challenges collecting water from contaminated ponds. Swaibu Bogere, a 52-year-old farmer, shared, "Fetching water from the ponds caused waterborne diseases in our community. While we could walk long distances to other communities to collect safe water, these journeys exposed our children, especially girls, to harm by several ruthless men." Everything changed when Living Water International installed a new borehole with a hand pump, providing safe, accessible water to the community. Swaibu expressed his gratitude: "Safe water access in our community will dramatically reduce the time spent on water collection and the number of waterborne diseases, improving our health and helping us save money for other developmental activities."
