About us
The Local Policy Lab accelerates the adoption of effective solutions to pressing problems at the local governmental level.
Cities and counties, and their local policymakers, are well-positioned to drive significant improvements in the lives of their constituents. However, small and medium-sized cities often lack the resources to access and implement innovative policy and programmatic approaches. Mayors, councilmembers, and local policymakers are routinely overstretched and without key tools to enact measures that deliver real change.
The Local Policy Lab provides support to cities to help solve the most pressing issues they are facing through providing support and expertise. We enable local policymakers to learn about proposals and legislation, network with their peers, and receive strategic support as they craft effective solutions in their communities. We then work to spread these solutions to communities across the country.
