I am often asked how AI will accelerate progress in biotech. There are so many ways: design of new small molecule structures, digital twins in clinical trials, personalized medicine based on biomarkers, rational clinical trial design and outcome predicting, and spotting fabricated data. "Using a tool called BrainBench, researchers tested LLMs and human experts on identifying real versus fabricated study abstracts, finding that the AI models excelled even when neuroscientists had domain-specific expertise. A specialized neuroscience-focused LLM, dubbed BrainGPT, achieved even higher accuracy at 86%. The study highlights the potential of AI in designing experiments, predicting results, and accelerating scientific progress across disciplines."
AI Outperforms Experts in Predicting Study Outcomes AI beats neuroscientists at predicting study outcomes! A new study shows large language models excel at forecasting results, paving the way for AI-assisted research design. https://lnkd.in/eqEJjTnj

Do you want to know how old your brain is biologically? For a limited time only, we invite you to play NeuroGames for free to assess your brain aging based on your cognition. We will be raffling a full NeuroAge Test, which includes brain MRI, blood biomarkers, and genetics, at our launch party next week ($3899 value). Launch party RSVP: https://lu.ma/8j885iyd Play NeuroGames: https://lnkd.in/gSF8_M56 Please note that these games are designed to be challenging so that we have a large enough spread to accurately assess people's ages in their 20s and 30s. The average person can correctly recall only about half of the word pairs in that game so don't be discouraged if you can't remember some words.
Curious to know your biological brain age? For a limited time only, our NeuroGames that can tell you your brain age and how good your memory and reaction time are compared to other people in your age group are freely available at: https://lnkd.in/gSF8_M56 We added some new games and modified one of our original games, so we need more beta testers. They take just a few minutes to complete.

Thinking about giving up caffeine? Don't put down that cup of Joe, it might be adding years of health to your life and protecting your brain. For those of you looking for some validation for your coffee habit, here it is. "The last 20 years also provided strikingly consistent epidemiological evidence showing that the regular consumption of moderate doses of coffee attenuates all-cause mortality, an effect observed in over 50 studies in different geographic regions and different ethnicities. Coffee intake attenuates the major causes of mortality, dampening cardiovascular-, cerebrovascular-, cancer- and respiratory diseases-associated mortality, as well as some of the major causes of functional deterioration in the elderly such as loss of memory, depression and frailty. The amplitude of the benefit seems discrete (17 % reduction) but nonetheless corresponds to an average increase in healthspan of 1.8 years of lifetime." Read the science: https://lnkd.in/gK7C4bqa

Protect your heart to protect your brain. Vascular dementia is the second most common type of dementia behind Alzheimer's. As the name implies, it's caused by clogged or leaky vasculature (blood vessels) in your brain. Taking care of your cardiovascular health is the best way to prevent it or slow it down if you already have been diagnosed. That's something you can start working on today.
How Healthy is Your Heart, and What Does it Mean for Your Brain? Did you know that your cardiovascular fitness directly impacts your brain health? Research shows that: A strong heart ensures your brain gets the energy it needs to thrive. Good vascular health protects the blood-brain barrier, shielding your brain from harmful toxins. Regular physical activity reduces neuroinflammation, supporting cognitive resilience as we age. The Lancet Commission (2024) estimates that up to 50% of dementia cases are preventable with early intervention. Monitoring cardiovascular health—like resting heart rate and blood pressure—offers a critical opportunity to safeguard your cognitive longevity. To learn more about the science behind cardiovascular fitness and brain health, and how early action can make a difference, check out the full blog post here: #longevity #aging #neurology #cardiovascular #cardiology #BrainHealth #Longevity #CognitiveHealth #CardiovascularFitness #VascularHealth #BloodPressure #BrainKey
