Morphic - Beyond Barefoot. The problem with many barefoot-designed shoes is that the foot can often swim in a shoe that is too wide for the user which in turn forces a negative nervous system reaction: the body is faced with the problem of trying to find grip both within the shoe AND with the ground itself. This facilitates over-engagement of stabilizer muscles— an inefficient use of energy and inefficient force transfer. Enter the custom nature of the Morphic algorithm and its importance to the evolution of footwear design and performance. The LoreTwo’s footbed perfectly cups the perimeter of the user’s foot because it’s built 100% custom. The cupping is gentle, but it’s just enough to engage the lower third of the fat pads around the entire of the foot.
