"I’ve always struggled to find a good fit with cycling shoes. My long toes and wider feet just don’t mesh well with traditional designs leaving me with pressure points around the toes and forefoot. [Lore] shoes are completely custom built, down to the millimeter, just for my foot. They fit like an absolute glove, eliminating my pressure point issues in the forefoot." Lore is excited to sponsor rider Joe Goettl as he begins training for his 2025 season. Joe is riding the Carbon Mid Cuts for optimal performance and speed. #LoreTwo #LoreCycle #CustomCyclingShoes

Lore Cycle reposted this
We have joined forces with Lore Cycle to collaborate in the creation of a shoe that fits bicycle riders better. These shoes are made to fit perfectly to each person's unique foot shape. They’re personalized, based on a 3D scan of the customer's foot. Read more about it in the press release published today: https://lnkd.in/dDhq62DG You can find out more about this and other 3D printed solutions at Formnext - Where ideas take shape trade show next week in Frankfurt, Germany, booth 12.1 E30. #Footwear #Bicycle #Riders #BikeShoe

Building your perfect fitting custom shoe begins with great scans. The process starts by taking a high resolution digital scan of your feet at a bike shop or local fitter. You'll stand on the Morphic turntable, get coached into a great stance, and then do one to three 60 second scan captures. That’s it. From this data emerges a bespoke, sub-millimeter precision pair of shoes, with the best fit and biomechanics on earth. From Queensland to Luxembourg to Hong Kong, head to our website lore.cc to see the current list of trained scanners.

Morphic - Beyond Barefoot. The problem with many barefoot-designed shoes is that the foot can often swim in a shoe that is too wide for the user which in turn forces a negative nervous system reaction: the body is faced with the problem of trying to find grip both within the shoe AND with the ground itself. This facilitates over-engagement of stabilizer muscles— an inefficient use of energy and inefficient force transfer. Enter the custom nature of the Morphic algorithm and its importance to the evolution of footwear design and performance. The LoreTwo’s footbed perfectly cups the perimeter of the user’s foot because it’s built 100% custom. The cupping is gentle, but it’s just enough to engage the lower third of the fat pads around the entire of the foot. The result is the perfect blend of relaxed, natural comfort combined with instantaneous lateral force transfer when the foot moves and tries to drive force into the ground. There is no slop, there is no lag, there is no discomfort to impinge upon circulation and nervous system response. #poweredbyMorphic #LoreTwo #LoreCycle

How much more power and efficiency could be created in a cycling shoe given these new tools? What are the most extreme gains that could be had by just hanging the one component of the overall cyclist ecosystem, the foot? These are some of the questions driving the innovation behind the Lore shoes, as told by Founder and CEO Stephan Drake.

"The LoreTwo uses a structure around your foot to provide support not only when you are pushing down, but also when you are pulling up on the back stroke. The scan allows them to 3D-print a shell that cups the bottom of your foot to support the downstroke, but also a shell that covers the top of the foot to provide that same type of support when pulling up on the back stroke. These are important when climbing, accelerating, and sprinting, allowing you to carry more momentum through the top and bottom deadzones of your pedal stroke." - Bike World News.
