Last Thursday, I spoke at "Reflections on the 2024 Paris Olympics", an inspiring panel hosted by the LSU School of Kinesiology and the LSU Center for French and Francophone Studies. Attended by over 600 people, the event featured Olympians sharing their experiences from the Paris 2024 Games, highlighting moments of perseverance, international unity, and the importance of cultural representation from diverse communities. Events like this remind us that sports are more than competition—they open minds, build bridges, and foster understanding between nations and communities. Guillaume Bodet, France’s leading scholar in sport management represented LSU's partner university, Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
