The delightful Jessica Schlupp-Taylor and our very own Steven Rowe have been beavering away at the microphone in 2024 and today launch our podcast about the challenges your mind poses your money and vice versa. It's light hearted! Some would say it's so light, it's a load of hot air. But, it's relaxing with a few handy points chucked in. 🎉✨ Talk Team Tuesday 🎉✨ Wrapping Up 2024 with Team Lucent✨🎉 As the year comes to a close, we want to celebrate just some of the incredible achievements—both professional & personal. We’ve laughed, learned, grown, & supported each other through a year filled with milestones. Here’s a look back at some special moments of 2024 🌟 Scott 🌟 Scott had an standout year, attending Dimensional “Science of Investing” Seminar & FP Advance “Unlocking Your Business Potential” conference in London. He also shared his knowledge in multiple systems sessions for our Lucent Staff —what a mentor! Scott also got ENGAGED 💍, explored the stunning Philippines for three weeks 🌴, and found a new love for Padel! 2025 looks bright as he kicks off his Chartered exams and explores new opportunities within the Lucent family. 🌟 Joe 🌟 Joe smashed his exams this year, passing R04 (Pensions) & R02 (Investments)—huge steps toward his financial planning qualifications! 🏆 He also achieved a major life goal by buying his first flat 🏡👏. Next year, Joe plans to complete his remaining exams & earn his Diploma in Financial Planning—we can’t wait to cheer him on! 🌟 Keely 🌟 A year of dedication for Keely as she conquered AF5, LP2, & two assignments for AF6. Up next? CF8. She also took center stage with her expertise, attending the Dimensional film screening, presenting at the Solihull BID Business Festival, & connecting at the Handlesbanken networking lunch. On the personal side, Keely embarked on the honeymoon of a lifetime to Singapore, Bali, & the Gili Islands 🌏💖—& celebrated Orla (our favorite dog) turning ONE! 🎂 Next year? Two more exams stand between her & Chartered status, & we know she’ll crush it! 🌟 Ellie 🌟 Ellie achieved a huge professional milestone by passing AF1, a challenging advanced exam on personal tax and trusts. She even taught a personal finance session to sixth formers, helping future generations prepare for their first jobs 👏📚. On the home front, Ellie bought a house this year 🏠 (the wait is on to move in)! We’re so excited to see what’s next for Ellie in 2025. 🌟 Luke 🌟 What a year for Luke—he officially became Chartered 🎓! He also took his expertise on the road, presenting CPD sessions to solicitors on pensions, investments, & divorce planning. Oh, and did we mention he interviewed the legendary Frank Bruno 🥊 at our Interesting Persons event, exclusively for our Lucent clients?! An unforgettable moment for all of us. 🌟 Jess 🌟 Jess went above and beyond, passing R04, R02, AND R06 talk about dedication! 😅. Her hard work paid off as she officially achieved her Diploma in August 🥳. We are so proud of everything our phenomenal team has achieved this year. From professional wins to life-changing personal moments, 2024 was truly a year to remember. 🎆 Here’s to an even more exciting, rewarding, and joyful 2025—full of new opportunities, success, and plenty of Lucent fun for all our team and Clients alike! 🎆

🎄 "Talk Team Tuesday" on a Thursday? That’s right— we were hijacked again! 🎄 This time, we were more than happy to pause for the big news about Luke James’s Chartered Status—a fantastic achievement that deserved the spotlight. But now, we’re back and ready to share all the latest team updates because, honestly, we love sharing life’s best moments with you! First up: The Lucent Team Christmas Party! 🎉 We always tell our clients to enjoy life and make fabulous memories, and we certainly practiced what we preach. The day began with a delicious Christmas dinner buffet 🍽️, followed by a wildly entertaining cocktail-making session (trust us, some creations were questionable but hilarious nonetheless 🍹). After that, we visited some of Birmingham’s best pubs for a bit of festive cheer before wrapping up the night in true Lucent style—a Chinese buffet and the Lucent traditions of karaoke! 🎤 It doesn’t get much better than food, laughter, and some questionable singing performances! The festive spirit didn’t stop there. The Grinch made some unexpected appearances this week, stealing the show for both Jessica Browning DipPFS and Karen McKim! Jess took her son to meet the big green guy, though it seems Jess had way more fun than little Cass judging by the photo! 😂 Karen, on the other hand, took her kids to see The Grinch but bravely took one for the team, stepping in for the photo herself—what a sport, Karen! 👏 Elsewhere, Hasna Sahul Hameed managed to squeeze in some last-minute Christmas shopping with her mom 🛍️, while Steven Rowe opted for a wild day out at the zoo where he got up close and personal with some friendly giraffes 🦒. Meanwhile, Lisa Weatherstone’s week was all about creativity and tradition as she decorated the Christmas cakes, she lovingly made for her family 🍰—a true work of art! This week, we’ve had it all—team fun, family moments, animals, food, and festive chaos—what more could we wish for this Christmas? 🎅 Now it’s over to you! Talk Team Thursday – Our First Ever Edition! 🎉 Welcome to the debut of Talk Team Thursday! We’re here with all the latest from Team Lucent after Tuesday’s update was delightfully hijacked by the incredible Kate Evans. We’ll forgive her – just this once! 😉 This week, we’re starting with a shoutout to Ellie Pemberton, whose artistic talents are taking the spotlight! Her superhero creations have been dazzling us all. From Spider-Man to... who knows what’s next? Ellie, we’re on the edge of our seats – keep the masterpieces coming! 🖌️🦸♀️ Amber Gerard was fully embracing the festive season, stealing the show at the ITV Christmas bash. Amber, you looked absolutely stunning – the belle of the ball for sure! Meanwhile, Lisa Weatherstone managed to escape the West Midlands’ stormy weather for a few sunny days in Spain. Soaking up 25-degree sunshine while sipping cocktails? Yes, we saw the photos, and no, we were not jealous (okay, maybe just a little!). Back home, Lisa Weatherstone’s grandson Brooklyn has been busy perfecting his Christmas lunch contributions, and this year, the family table will feature the much-anticipated “Brooklyn’s Pigs in Blankets” – now that’s a festive tradition in the making! We also had the pleasure of receiving a heart-warming email and photo from the Parkinson’s Solihull Branch after Lisa Weatherstone and Luke James visited their walking football group. A special mention to Luke, who suited up with weights to get a sense of what it’s like playing football with Parkinson’s. Martin from the group wrote, “We really appreciate you all taking the time to come and visit our walking football session and chat to people afterward. We hope you enjoyed it. Special thanks to Luke for joining in – it was great to see!” Lisa and Luke were truly inspired by this amazing group of people. And now, the countdown to our own Team Lucent Christmas Party is on! It’s been a fantastic year of growth, achievements, and teamwork, and we can’t wait to celebrate in style. From career milestones to incredible client stories, there’s so much to toast to as we start wrapping up 2024 and prepare for an even brighter 2025. 🌟Lucent Walk & Talk, December addition 🌟 Fabulous Day in Knowle! 🌟 What a fantastic walk around Knowle yesterday for this months Lucent Walk & Talk! A massive thank you to the brilliant duo, Rachel & Jane, aka the " Mrs. History," for leading such an enlightening and engaging journey. 🎓✨ The Lisa T-shirts seem to be getting everywhere, they went to the Seychelles with Steve, the Blues ground with Luke (Blues won by the way, so must be a lucky Charm), now two turn up on the Lucent Walk. Where next will the T-shirts turn up, we wonder!!!!! We had an amazing turn out, thank you to all our clients who made this walk so enjoyable. We even found one of our clients relative in the graveyard – now that is a first for us!!! Who knew Knowle held so many fascinating stories and diverse personalities? Here's what we've been up to: • Amber Gerard kicked off the Christmas season with her first Bongo Bingo of the year, followed by snuggles with our adorable pooch, Remi. 🐾 • Keely Woods embraced the holiday vibe, catching up with old friends over festive drinks and upholding the tradition of decorating her Christmas tree on the first weekend of December. 🎄✨ • Karen McKim shared a precious moment, enjoying her great-nephew’s cuddles during her first Christmas dinner of the year. 💕 • Jessica Browning DipPFS and Cass had a playful Friday at soft play, followed by Cass receiving his advent calendar on Saturday.
