Lincoln’s 25 points of pride in ‘25 continues! #17 — Lincoln University’s $2 Million Grant Supporting Agriculture and Sustainability Projects Last year, four groundbreaking projects led by the Lincoln University Cooperative Research (LUCR) received a $2.2 million investment from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The funding helps the University advance agriculture, environmental stability and community health research efforts. “Lincoln University is leading the way in innovation and research to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We remain deeply committed to advancing research that will benefit the ever-evolving agricultural landscape and boosting sustainability,” said Dr. Douglas LaVergne, Lincoln University vice president of land-grant engagement. “This federal support for our projects continues our legacy of fostering innovation and excellence in agriculture.” The projects range from AI-driven pest management to water quality improvements and many more. Each project is making an impact while providing experiential learning opportunities to further enrich our students’ educational journey.
