Mining lunar Helium-3 for true Earth based green energy.
About us
Lunar Helium-3 Mining, LLC (LH3M) is solely focused on advancing practical technologies for detecting and extracting Lunar Helium-3, a critical resource for achieving global energy independence through nuclear fusion. We are strongly aligned with the President’s clean energy initiative with respect to fusion power commercialization. LH3M’s primary objective is to establish sustainable and practical processes for extracting and transporting He-3 from the Moon to Earth. We are focused on continuing to advance our Technology Readiness Levels strategically and methodically by working “within” the constraints of the environment of the moon. Leveraging Helium-3 as a primary fuel source for nuclear fusion has the potential to replace reliance on nuclear fission and fossil fuels, paving the way for a low-cost, truly global green energy solution worldwide.

Chris Salvino, MD had the privilege of presenting his poster at the University of Arizona during the Mines for Limitless Minds 2024 event on November 20, 2024. Reflecting on the experience, he shared: "This was an outdoor festival that brings the world of mining and minerals directly to University of Arizona students and was attended and sponsored by more than 50 world wide mining companies. It was a great event to talk about the prospect of mining the moon for helium-3 to both students and industry leaders. It is a natural fit as extraction of helium-3 from the moon is a novel future way of “mining”. A lot of commercial mines are designed to produce fuel for energy (i.e., coal mines) and if helium-3 extraction is successful, nuclear fusion with helium-3 may replace traditional earth-based energy mining. Will we see traditional energy commercial mining companies adopt helium-3 as part of their long-term strategy? Time will tell!"

The Helium-3 Challenge: A Glimpse into the Future of Energy 🌌 Did you know that U.S. currently has less than 30 kilograms of helium-3, a rare resource mainly produced from tritium decay, which has declined due to reduced nuclear weapons programs. This is significant because helium-3 could play a key role in future nuclear fusion reactors, offering a promising energy solution. To meet future demand, we may need to consider mining helium-3 from sources like the Moon. As we aim for sustainable energy, the search for helium-3 could transform our energy landscape. 🚀✨ #Helium3 #NuclearFusion #EnergyFuture #SpaceMining #Sustainability #GreenEnergy
