🚉 Erfolgreiche Inbetriebnahme des doppelgleisigen Streckenabschnitts zwischen Horb und Neckarhausen Der doppelgleisige Streckenabschnitt zwischen Horb und Neckarhausen inkl. neuer Stellwerkstechnik ist seit dem 26. Oktober in Betrieb – und wir freuen uns, Teil dieses wichtigen Meilensteins gewesen zu sein! Mit dem Infrastrukturausbau sowie der Modernisierung der Stellwerkstechnik werden die Bahnverkehre von Stuttgart in die Schweiz weiter optimiert. 🔑 Was hat sich verändert? • Züge können jetzt besser kreuzen und überholen • Die Verkehrsteuerung aus dem Jahr 1927 wurde durch moderne elektronische Stellwerkstechnik ersetzt • Die Steuerung erfolgt jetzt zentral, was die Streckenauslastung optimiert Das Projekt erforderte eine umfassende Infrastrukturerweiterung sowie die Modernisierung von über 1.000 Elementen(Signale, Achszähler, Weichen etc.). Nach intensiven Vorbereitungen und einer Totalsperrung wurde der Abschnitt pünktlich am 26. Oktober wieder für den Zugverkehr freigegeben. Unsere Rolle: Unser Team unterstützte die DB InfraGO im Projektmanagement und koordinierte die Arbeiten in den Gewerken Leit- und Sicherungstechnik (LST), Stromversorgung (50Hz) und Telekommunikation (TK). Ein besonderer Fokus lag auf Workshops zu Lean Construction Management, um u.a. die Prozesse effizient zu gestalten. Ein besonderer Dank gilt unserem Projektteam bestehend aus Tobias Hürten , Sebastian Molka und Maria Krylova, deren Engagement den Projekterfolg sichergestellt hat. 🌍 Klimafreundliche operative Planung für Fluggesellschaften (KoPF) ✈️ Wir freuen uns, unser neues Forschungsprojekt KoPF vorzustellen, das im Rahmen der „Lufo-VI"-Initiative gefördert wird. Das Ziel des dreijährigen Projekts (August 2024 – Juli 2027) ist es, operative Effizienz von Fluggesellschaftenzu steigern und gleichzeitig die CO2-Emissionen in der Luftfahrt zu reduzieren. Dieses Projekt vereint die Expertise der FAU, unserem IT- und Softwareentwicklungsteam sowie der Lufthansa (DLH) als assoziiertem Partner. Unsere Ziele: 1. Vorantreiben der Forschung im Bereich distributionelle Robustheit, um die komplexe Planung im Flugbetrieb robuster zu gestalten. 2. Integration neuester mathematischer Erkenntnisse in unseren Orbit-Solver,  um Herausforderungen effektiver zu lösen und u.a. CO2-Emissionen der DLH um 1% zu reduzieren, ohne die Stabilität des Flugplans oder die Zufriedenheit der Passagiere zu gefährden. 3. Automatisierung des Einsatzes unseres Solvers zur Steigerung der Effizienz für die Anwender:innen in den Verkehrszentralen. 👥 Das M2P-Team, bestehend aus Denys Kochev, Frank Morbitzer, Dr. Julius Bauß, Dr. Dennis Adelhütte und Bernd Noll bringt umfassende Expertise aus den Bereichen Luftfahrt, Operations Research, Datenanalyse und Softwareentwicklung in das Projekt ein.
