Feeling mentally ready for 2025? Here are some tried-and-true habits to help you feel sharp, alive, and well: 1. Move your body After a workout, people often feel better emotionally, and their cognitive performance improves. The real benefits come from consistent exercise over time: it lowers the risk of depression and dementia. Scientists believe exercise increases blood flow and releases chemicals in the brain that help build new neuron connections. In both depression and dementia, these connections are lost, so a stronger brain can act as a buffer against impairment. 2. Address your anxiety Survey after survey shows that many Americans are anxious. there are ways to manage your tendency to worry • Confront your fears with exposure therapy. • Focus on your values by engaging in meaningful activities like volunteering. • Avoid catastrophizing. Reflect on your worries and learn from them. 3. Challenge your brain Engage in activities like puzzles, board games, reading, or learning a new language to keep your brain sharp. If it’s challenging, it’s probably good for your mind. 4. Get quality sleep Chronic sleep deprivation harms your emotional and cognitive health. Try cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which has long-term benefits for sleep improvement. 5. Get unstuck Feeling stuck? Try a ‘friction audit’ to identify obstacles and stressors in your day, then remove them. Start by asking: Am I repeating unhelpful patterns? Are there things I do often but don’t enjoy? Next, try ‘futurecasting’. Visualize being “unstuck” and outline the steps to get there. Write them down — ideally by hand — and aim to take at least one step each day. 6. Stay cool Heat affects cognition, making us more impulsive and irritable. Stay cool with air conditioning or a fan to help your brain function better in hot weather. 7. Quiet your inner critic Accept that “good enough” is often enough. Distancing yourself from negative self-talk by using your name or “you” in your internal dialogue can be more constructive. 8. Take care of your physical health Physical health strongly impacts mental health. Regular exercise and good nutrition lower your risk of cognitive decline and mental health issues like depression. 9. Make a new friend Loneliness harms mental health, contributing to stress and inflammation that can affect the brain. Stay socially connected by reaching out to friends or joining a support group. 10. Forgive — or don’t! Forgiveness isn’t always needed for healing. In You Don’t Need to Forgive: In her upcoming book "Trauma Recovery on Your Own Terms", trauma therapist Amanda Gregory defines it as an emotional process, not an endpoint. "You can forgive someone and have nothing to do with them," she says. If you’re not ready, that’s OK too. #Mentalhealth #womenhealth #womenshealth #depression #anxiety #trauma #PTSD #Dimentia #Bipolardisorder #physicalhealth #qualitysleep #2025healthtips

Exciting News! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that the Library of Congress has included our book, "M3Info.AI - One Number for Your Mental Wellbeing," in its permanent collection.📚 This book dives deep into critical insights about mental health, particularly how the "depression bias" in traditional tools can lead to misdiagnoses and potential harm. The M3 Checklist offers a multidimensional approach, assessing symptoms of #anxiety, #bipolardisorder, #PTSD, and #depression, delivering one highly predictive score. Unlike single-dimensional screens like the GAD or PHQ often used in #clinics or the #workplace, the M3 Checklist empowers providers and employers with a more accurate, holistic view—ensuring better care for those who need it most. Thank you to the Library of Congress for recognizing the importance of this work. Together, we can drive meaningful change in mental health care. 💡 #MentalHealth #Innovation #Healthcare #M3Checklist Chapters include benefits to women, college students, and those at risk from substance use, what to expect when starting therapy, and the benefit of a symptom-driven approach. We've attached a complimentary copy for you to comment. Regards, The M3 Collaborative

USPTF advocates assessing anxiety and depression at the same time. This practice would better enable the identification of mixed symptoms, helping women and those with mixed conditions far better than just depression screening with the PHQ-9. The M3 meets these Guidelines and provides the discussed care benefits. #Innovation #Healthcare #HealthcareTransformation #mentalhealth #depression #bipolardisorder #anxiety #ptsd #OCD #schizophrenia #stress #ADHD #stress #drugabuse #mentalhealthassessment #BHT2024 #Lapcorpreport #Behavioralhealth #MentalHealthTech #HealthTech #m3info #m3information

M3info.AI allows providers to meet new HEDIS measure for mental health. On August 12, 2024, the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) expanded the Healthcare Effectiveness and Data Information Set (HEDIS) measure related to follow-up after mental health-related emergency department visits and hospitalizations. The conditions for which follow-up will be tracked now include phobia diagnoses, anxiety diagnoses, intentional self-harm X-chapter codes, and the R45.851 suicidal ideation code. The options for follow-up will now include more provider-type options, psychiatric residential treatment, and peer support services for mental health. #BHT2024 #Behavioralhealth #MentalHealthTech #HealthTech #Innovation #Healthcare #HealthcareTransformation #mentalhealth #depression #bipolardisorder #anxiety #ptsd #OCD #schizophrenia #stress #ADHD #stress #drugabuse #mentalhealthassessment #m3info #m3information

#BHT2024 attendees can meet the new #CMS, and #NCQA Guidelines by using the 3-minute #M3info #mentalhealth assessment. The M3 is multidimensional, recognizing symptoms of #PTSD, #Bipolar Disorder, #Impairment, #SubstanceUse, #Anxiety, and #Depression. The solutions focusing on the #PHQ-9 lead to poor care and worse outcomes. #BHT2024 providers focusing on #mentalhealth using the #PHQ-9 are endangering #patients/members according to #USPTF and the #NCQA. New USPTF guidelines say people should be assessed for #Anxiety as well as Depression. For complicated #patients, the M3 also asseses for PTSD and #Bipolar Disorder to engage people to reach the best outcomes. #BHT2024 #Behavioralhealth #MentalHealthTec #HealthTech #Innovation #Healthcare #HealthcareTransformation
