At just 16, James Pumphrey is already using his musical talents to make a difference. James volunteers weekly at the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, where he leads sing-alongs to nursery rhymes that bring comfort and joy to young children in difficult circumstances. Donate to MacPhail today to keep spreading the joy of music through our community. One of his most memorable moments? Helping a crying child find solace through music. "By the time I left, he was singing along with everyone," James recalls. Your support makes stories like James' possible—helping young musicians share their gifts and bring people together through the power of music. https://bit.ly/4fSeHjm

Since 2021, MacPhail’s Project Amplify has been sending Artists in Residence to Minnesota schools to engage students in music outside of the Western classical canon. Pictured at Birch Grove Elementary is the dynamic Terrel X, who is in high demand for his love of human beatboxing and building confidence in young people. Are you a K-12 educator interested in bringing on of our Artists in Residence to your classroom? Visit https://bit.ly/3ZmfrHM to learn more about our artists and how to schedule them.

Did you know that MacPhail supports music instruction for hundreds of K-12 students in greater Minnesota? Due to grant funding, our Noteworthy Instruction program is able to provide 25 hours of free instruction for small, rural schools. The hours can be used for everything from band sectionals to electronic music support because we tailor each partnership to each school’s needs. Pictured are Rachel Hickman, Elizabeth Winslow, and Cheryl Berglund at the Minnesota Rural Education Association this past weekend, where they shared this opportunity with school personnel from around the state. Through MacPhail’s programs like Project Amplify, we're helping young people find their voice. Just ask Allyse, a student who shares how MacPhail Artist in Residence Terrell Woods, "listens to all of our ideas and incorporates them in our songs. I love that he includes everyone." It's not just about music—it's about giving kids a platform where they feel heard, valued, and empowered. 🌟 This #GiveToTheMaxDay, your support will help keep the music playing. 🌟 Will you join us in making a difference? #GTMD24 Every note played creates ripples of change, transforming lives far beyond the classroom. Together, we can continue to build strong, connected communities through the power of music. https://bit.ly/3OfVyvC
