A lot of people talk about their New Year's Resolutions, but I prefer to think about my New Year's Goals. Resolutions are things you'll stop or start doing, but my advice is to focus less on the individual steps, and more on the destination you're trying to reach. For instance, let's say you want to get healthier, increase your lung capacity so you don't get winded as quickly when you're playing with the kids or grandkids. You might resolve to go to the gym more often. But at the gym, you could lift weights every day, bulk up, get stronger, but did any of that move you toward your goal of more endurance so you can be more present in your kids' lives? Nope! But if you keep your goal in sight, then you can try different "resolutions" to reach it. If one resolution doesn't work out, you didn't fail, you're iterating, improving your process until you do succeed. You tried weight machines, bulked up, but you still can't run after the kids. You didn't fail at your resolution, you're just still trying to find the best way to reach your goal. Maybe try some cardio instead of trying to look like John Cena! That's how I approach the new year. MagnaTrack's goal is to make the industry's best screen and get it into the hands of as many of our dealers and their customers as possible. It's been an interesting year for MagnaTrack®! The weather has definitely kept us on our toes with multiple hurricanes, one of which hit our factory! But while all of this slowed us down, it couldn't stop us. And that's a gift I want to celebrate this holiday season. It's the gift of resiliency, both in our Defender screens themselves and in the company that makes them. We know that our Defender series screens saved a lot of people from more damage the hurricanes could have caused. We love serving our customers during the consultation and installation phases, but we especially love when our product is enjoyed. And while we'd never wish for hurricanes, we're so thankful that we can help protect against the damage they cause. As for the company, we're so proud of the way everyone came together to keep the business running as smoothly as it could without a roof on the factory and email in the offices. It wasn't easy, but every time we pulled together to help our dealers and customers, it was another gift we were putting under their tree. We heard about a movie party, a triple feature of scary movies for the Halloween season shown on a big screen in the backyard with thirty of your closest friends. The patio had spooky decorations. Today is the official end of hurricane season! We are thankful for the blessing of safety on those who had little to no damage.
