Earlier this month, we held our 9th Annual Community for Kids benefit, raising more than $200,000 to support Maimonides Children’s Hospital—the only comprehensive children’s hospital and pediatric trauma center in Brooklyn. 💙 The event drew more than 450 attendees, the most in its history, and honored Camille & Stefano Filippazzo, Nick Iacoviello, and Maimonides' own Michael Brincat for their incredible contributions to our mission. Funds raised will help support our pediatric trauma center and the upcoming expanded pediatric emergency department, opening in 2025 to serve Brooklyn’s 600,000 children. During this holiday season, we’re inspired by the generosity of our Food and Nutrition Department, who kicked off a donation drive early this year, collecting over 660 pairs of socks for those in need. These warm gifts were shared with our Pediatrics Department to support Santa’s gift-giving and distributed by our BERGs (Business Employee Resource Groups) to local community organizations, including Voces Ciudadanas, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, Mixteca, United Senior Citizens Center of Sunset Park, and Rainbow Heights Club. 💙🧦 Let’s continue the spirit of giving into the New Year!
