I believe in the power of words. Chosen with intention and forethought, your words can be the most powerful part of your brand. I believe deeply that words lead visuals, not the opposite. Whether you set out to change the world, build an empire, fight the good fight or create something never before seen, the words you choose to deliver your message are the difference between success and failure. As a freelance partner, I work with individuals and small businesses to create (or refine) brand platforms. Internally, that could include digging deep on a mission and vision statement. We might need to create your brand promise and unique selling propositions then spend time training and gaining commitment from your team. Externally, we can look at web and social media platforms to understand if your brand is in fact what you think it is. Have you harnessed and leveraged the right words? Are you actively using them to connect to your community? Simply put, the fire that comes from the heart of someone with a big dream needs to be at the core of their brand. Don't jump ahead to what your logo looks like. If the words are wrong or not shared effectively, the logo on a website or the visual aesthetic of an Instagram grid won't matter.

Raise your hand if you would ever consider building your dream house on rented land. Right?! Me neither… BUT… Despite knowing better, that’s exactly what I did in my business. I spent 2+ years developing a small strategic presence in the metaverse and when it finally came time to officially launch the integrated marketing campaign for Content Chaos Cure (more on that in the comments), my only developed advertising channel was dead. Why, you ask? Beats me. I have an unexplained violation of their ad policies so egregious that my entire profile is banned from managing pages. That means no advertising, no adding another admin to work on my behalf, no transferring ownership… nothing. I share this as a cautionary tale. Lessons learned the hard way so to speak. I know a lot of you will have advise for recovering access. Any and all advice is welcome though I think I’ve tried anything and all I know is that I had a window to appeal a violation I didn’t know about. I missed it and that’s that. Now, I know there are a lot of smart fantastic motivated amazing people here so I’m just as happy to not have all my eggs in the Meta basket. Let’s link up here instead!
