We support, educate, and empower mothers of LGBTQ children

About us

Mama Dragons is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that supports, educates, and empowers mothers of LGBTQ children. Since 2013, we have grown from just a handful of moms gathering in-person for support, to an organization that now supports over 7,000, with a focus on providing safe online spaces and educational programs where they can learn and connect with other mothers traveling similar paths as they learn safe, accepting parenting practices that can help prevent LGBTQ youth suicide, depression, and homelessness.

  • 🎉 Tuesday night in Manhattan, Mama Dragons was honored with GOLD in the Human Rights - Community Spaces category at the Anthem Awards! 🏆 This incredible recognition celebrates the transformative power of community and the work we do to create a safe, supportive space for mothers of LGBTQ+ children. Community is at the heart of what we do. For every mom who feels alone, we want her to know: you belong here. This award gives us greater visibility to reach even more mothers across the country who need support, love, and guidance during these challenging times. 💜 We are humbled to stand alongside so many inspiring organizations championing human rights and social impact, including GLAAD, United Nations, Governor Tim Walz, Planned Parenthood, World Central Kitchen, Rare Beauty,The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and New York Chamber of Mothers. Together, we’re creating a better, more inclusive world. 🌎 Thank you to the The Anthem Awards for this honor, and to every mama in our community—you are what makes this possible. 💕 #MamaDragons #AnthemAwards #CommunityMatters #LGBTQSupport #HumanRights #theanthemawards
