We are proud to announce that our Chair, President, and CEO, James S. Vaccaro, has been appointed Vice President of the National Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) for the year 2025. 👏 The appointment was confirmed by Michelle W. Bowman, Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The CDIAC serves as an essential advisory body, providing valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing community depository institutions. As Vice President, Mr. Vaccaro will work alongside other members of the Council to ensure the effective representation of the interests of community banks, credit unions, and thrifts at the national level. The National CDIAC is populated by one member from each of the Federal Reserve System’s twelve districts. In addition to the National Council, Mr. Vaccaro serves as Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s CDIAC. In addition to his leadership at Manasquan Bank, Mr. Vaccaro has been a strong advocate for community-based financial institutions for many years. Since joining the CDIAC in 2023, he has brought extensive experience and a deep commitment to supporting the success and stability of community depository institutions. His appointment as Vice President further underscores his dedication to advancing the mission of the Council and promoting the continued growth of the community banking sector. Manasquan Bank ESG 2024 Wrapped! ✨🌍 This year, we proudly made a positive impact on our environment and community! Here’s what we achieved together: ♻️ Collected and recycled 1,174 lbs of plastics through NexTrex’s Community Recycling Program, earning us a bench that we donated to Fulfill, our amazing recycling partner! 🌳 Supported the planting of 150 trees through our Branch 4 Branch initiative. 🖨️ Launched a toner cartridge recycling project to reduce office waste. 🌊 Partnered with Clean Ocean Action for impactful beach cleanups. 📄 Hosted 3 successful Shred Day's to promote secure and eco-friendly disposal. 🏠 Collaborated with Monmouth Habitat for Humanity on house builds, helping to create homes and opportunities for those in need. 💡 Empowered youth through financial literacy workshops with Junior Achievement, led by ESG members. 📈 Released our third annual framework report, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and sustainability. 🌱 Celebrated Earth Day with seed packets for clients and employees, spreading growth and awareness. This has been a #WILD first year for our Women in Leadership Development (WILD) employee resource group! WILD was created to support Manasquan Bank’s ongoing commitment to empowering and uplifting our women colleagues, and this year has been nothing short of extraordinary. ✨ We kicked off Women’s History Month with several impactful initiatives, including Women’s HERstory Month Employee Spotlights, trivia games, and decorating Monmouth Habitat for Humanity ReStore’s windows. We were thrilled to partner with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore for their inaugural Women’s History Month Essay Contest, inspiring the next generation of leaders. But our impact didn’t stop there! Throughout the year, WILD members and supporters came together for a range of meaningful events: 🎀 Sponsoring a clothing drive to benefit Dress for Success of Central NJ. 🎀 Participating as Team Manasquan Bank in the Susan G. Manasquan Bank’s 2024 Annual Holiday Giving Trees Event was an incredible success, uniting our branches and communities to support families, children, seniors, and pets in need throughout New Jersey. 🧸🎁🐾 With your generous donations, we partnered with Saint Gregory Food Pantry, Midstreams Elementary School Holiday Giveback, Liv Like a Unicorn, Salvation Army of Red Bank Angel Tree, Home Instead Senior Care – Be a Santa for a Senior, InterFaith Neighbors, Toys for Tots, YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy, Love Thy Neighbor, Wingman Foundation, Township of Howell – "Adopt a Family", Monmouth County SPCA, The Ashley Lauren Foundation, and CASA for Children of Monmouth County. Thanks to your kindness, we were able to collect toys, clothing, gift cards, books, blankets, and so much more—providing warmth, joy, and hope to those in need. From adopting families and helping hospitalized children to supporting teenagers in foster care and seniors without loved ones, this campaign truly made an impact. Internally, our Manasquan Bank colleagues also donated over 50 gifts to families at Monmouth Habitat for Humanity and Ocean’s Harbor House. 🎅 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and participated.
