As 2024 wraps up, we at Marqo want to take a moment to reflect on an incredible year and express our deepest gratitude to all of you—our users, partners, and supporters. Your feedback, contributions, and enthusiasm have been instrumental in shaping our journey, and we couldn’t have done it without you! Here are some of our 2024 highlights: 🌟 A New HQ and Major Updates 🌟 At the start of the year, we moved our headquarters to San Francisco, California and kicked off the year with the release of Marqo V2—the next evolution of our core inference and vector search engine. Since then, we’ve rolled out 14 additional releases, packed with exciting new features. A huge shoutout to our engineering team for their consistent hard work throughout the year. 🌟 Marqo Customer Success Stories 🌟 Marqo Cloud continued powering the way with companies such as Redbubble, Frubana, Envato, Sybill, Archive, and Flume AI using Marqo Cloud in production. 🌟 Generalized Contrastive Learning (GCL) 🌟 We published Generalized Contrastive Learning (GCL), our groundbreaking training framework for multimodal retrieval and ranking. GCL builds on the popular CLIP method, expanding it to not only support text and images, but also relevance ranking for better first-stage retrieval. 🌟 Marqtune Launch 🌟 We launched Marqtune, a powerful platform for training highly specialized, billion-parameter embedding models that elevate search, recommendations, and RAG applications. This utilises GCL as its framework — meaning better, more relevant search results. 🌟 State-of-the-Art Embedding Models 🌟 We released state-of-the-art embedding models for both fashion and ecommerce, outperforming existing models by up to 88%! A big shoutout to our applied science team for their amazing work on this. 🌟 Accelerator Program Achievements 🌟 This year, we had the honor of being selected for both the AWS Startups Generative AI Accelerator and the Google for Startups Accelerator, allowing us to accelerate innovation and bring even more value to our users.
