Congratulations to the project team on the completion of the new Arvada Aquatics Center!
Incredibly excited to see another outstanding Martin/Martin, Inc project completed. This Project is extra special to me because it provided me the opportunity to impact my community in a positive way for years to come while replacing a facility that I used on numerous occasions while growing up. The City of Arvada Arvada Aquatics Center provides a State of the Art competition Swimming and Diving facility - one of two in the state to be equipped with 1 and three meter spring boards as well as 3 and 5 meter fixed diving platforms replacing a worn out George J. Meyers Swimming Center on the same site. Outstanding work to the entire project team including OLC (Architecture | Interiors | Aquatics), Martin/Martin, Inc (Civil and Structural), The Ballard Group, Inc., Counsilman-Hunsaker, Myrtha Pools and Built by Saunders Construction.

All-wood connections? Absolutely! Martin/Martin took a trip to the Rocky Mountain Joinery Center to see first-hand the skills and technology behind this innovative timber company. Showcased were several examples of mortise-and-tenon connections, a traditional technique for joining wood members that this team has mastered and continues to use in contemporary projects. Thank you to RMJC for giving us a tour of your facility and answering our questions about the timber fabrication process. We look forward to partnering with this team on future heavy timber and #MassTimber projects!
