As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we mark the beginning of Survivors of Homicide Victims Awareness Month. For most of us, the holiday season is filled with joy and festivities, but it can be especially difficult for families who have lost a loved one to violence. At the Office of Grants and Research, we work closely with our partners in victim services, law enforcement and other organizations to reduce violence and ensure that victims and survivors have access to services they may need.
