About us
MASSIVE GOODS creates and agents queer and feminist art, comics and fashion by artists from Japan. MASSIVE’s mission is to spread iconoclastic work addressing gender and sexuality to new audiences and new forms, from museum walls to bodies everywhere. Founded in 2013 by writer/producer Anne Ishii and filmmaker Graham Kolbeins, MASSIVE began by making T-shirts with legendary gay manga master Gengoroh Tagame to coincide with the release of the artist’s first English-language book, The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame, published by PictureBox. Co-edited by Ishii, Kolbeins, and graphic design hero Chip Kidd, The Passion highlights Tagame’s expert draftsmanship and elaborate BDSM-themed erotic fantasies through a selection of short stories and excerpts spanning his career.
