“MTC’s design philosophy is rooted in that concept of increasing student agency: our tools enable learners to curate their unique learning records, uploading evidence of their best work in connection to the competencies and skills their school or district cares most about. In turn, educators provide verification and feedback, using a school’s rubrics.” Check it out! MTC is featured in a new report released by 1EdTech Consortium, highlighting 12 examples of powerful microcredential programs. “I chose to create the MLR for myself because, at Nipmuc, I was able to experience a lot of amazing learning opportunities, but I had no way to showcase them when I was applying to colleges, and I really thought that they were a great example of who I was as a student.” In the third video of their series, Nipmuc Regional High School shows how the MTC Learning Record (MLR) allows students to communicate personalized stories about their learning journeys. Class of 2025 Seniors Lily Killeen and Arlo Gibbons share their personal statements and why they chose to create an MLR. Nipmuc invites viewers to be inspired by their students and join them as they reimagine school, learning, and student assessment. Keep an eye out for additional individual student profiles to come! https://lnkd.in/gJVR8rAg #CompetencyBasedLearning #StudentAgency #DurableSkills #MTC #MasteryLearning #MTCMembers #MasteryTranscriptConsortium #NIPMUC #MasteryLearningRecord #MLR
