In a world full of eco-challenges, it's nice to brew up a reason to smile. 🍻☺️ With the acquisition of Peak Sustainability Group, we were thrilled to co-host the Sustainability Social Hour at Structures Brewing in Bellingham's Old Town. These quarterly gatherings, organized by RE Sources, Sustainable Connections, and Peak Sustainability, offer a chance for sustainability professionals and advocates to connect and celebrate their shared goals. When the Peak team joined us, they introduced us to this vibrant community event, and we couldn’t wait to dive in! Attendees included folks from the City of Bellingham, Western Washington University, Port of Bellingham, Whatcom Working Waterfront Coalition, and many more. Together, we enjoyed meaningful conversations and celebrated the joy and progress in the sustainability world. #Bellingham #Sustainability #Environment #ClimateChange #ClimateAction #Networking #Community

Wildland fires not only ravage landscapes but also leave lasting risks for communities and those involved in cleanup efforts. Join us at the Society for Risk Analysis (SRA) Annual Meeting to hear Bill Beadie present on assessing and mitigating occupational and community exposures during post-wildland fire cleanup operations. His presentation will feature the 2020 Oregon wildfires as a case study. Want to learn more about the 2020 Oregon Wildfires? 🌍✨ Happy GIS Day! ✨🌍 Today, we celebrate the power of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the ways it shapes our world! From mapping communities to solving complex problems, GIS helps us visualize data and make informed decisions. Whether you're designing equitable school boundaries, planning sustainable cities, or exploring the natural world, GIS is a tool that brings people and data together. 🔎 Fun fact: GIS isn’t just about maps – it’s about insight. Every point, line, and layer tells a story that helps us better understand and improve the spaces we live in. Learn more about MFA's GIS capabilities on our website: https://ow.ly/EiI750UbpXg #GISDay
