👋 Meet the Team: Scott Williams, Vice President 👋
Scott's journey with Maumee Supply began at 13 years old, working in the warehouse. His first summer was spent cleaning shelves that hadn’t been touched in over 20 years, teaching him the value of hard work. Over the years, he’s done it all, from pulling orders to receiving, driving, and now spending time with customers - something he loves doing more than ever.
Scott's favorite part of helping customers is being an ally, helping them improve their business, whether it’s internally at Maumee Supply or with customers in the field. He often recommends products people might not know about, from something as simple as a gel packet – it’s little beads that you put in a toilet when you pull it and it solidifies the water, so it doesn’t drip on the floor when you’re taking it out - to sump pump monitors to prevent or alert you to potential flooding in your basement.
Did you know Scott used to be an ice climber? He hung up his ice axes in 2014 when his son Henry was born, but he still keeps some gear around.
One of Scott’s proudest accomplishments is bringing on the EOS helped define the company’s values and leadership team, and he enjoys seeing people grow within Maumee Supply. The fun, lighthearted culture at Maumee Supply is one of Scott’s favorite things, whether it’s a practical joke, quick one-liner, or a fun event that we go and do.
When Scott isn’t at work, you’ll find him chasing after his kids, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
A common question Scott hears is about sump pump sizing - customers often think they need a bigger pump, but in reality, a longer-running, smaller pump is more efficient and lasts longer. Scott’s goal is always to advocate for our customers and what’s going to be best for them and their home.
