  • 🎄 Ringing in the holiday spirit with Leadership McKinney! 🎄 Thanks to the amazing efforts of both the Leadership McKinney Alumni and the current Leadership McKinney Class, we were able to volunteer and ring the bell for the Salvation Army at SAM'S Club on December 6 and December 13, 2024. Last year, over $15k was raised for our community – and this year, we’re excited to continue making an impact! What happens when you ring? 🤝 The funds raised support The Salvation Army’s year-round programs, providing social services, homeless shelters, disaster relief, children’s programs, rehabilitation services, anti-human trafficking efforts, and so much more.Donations in the red kettle stay local, directly impacting those in need right here in McKinney. When you ring, you make a difference. 💪 A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and contributed to this important cause! 🎅✨ #LeadershipMcKinney #SalvationArmy #GiveBack #CommunitySupport #RingTheBell #HolidayGiving #McKinneyTexas #MakeADifference #mckinneychamberofcommerce

We are closing out the year with a 🌊splash 🌊 in McKinney! Today, the City of McKinney is excited to announce it is pursuing an agreement with Cannon Beach, a $200 million multi-use development set to redefine recreation, tourism, and economic innovation in North Texas. Anticipated to break ground in 2025 at the northeast corner of Stacy Road and S.H. 121, this 35-acre project will feature a four-acre surf lagoon, a full-service resort-style hotel, and dining, entertainment, and business spaces. • Another inspiring day with the Leadership McKinney Class of 2025! This session focused on Education and Workforce, starting with a tour of the state-of-the-art Collin College Technical Campus in Allen, TX. The class learned about their 20 diverse programs and how they’re preparing students for the workforce. The day continued with a powerful presentation from Texas 2036 , a nonprofit focused on driving data-informed state policy solutions. The discussion highlighted survey results on how education shapes today’s workforce. We also heard from McKinney ISD, covering everything from finance and human resources to counseling, safety, and services for special populations. The session wrapped up with a professional development workshop, leaving the class energized and inspired. Special thanks to our Session Sponsor, Shamrock Bank NA-Justin Beller and Brian Mantzey—an employee-owned bank dedicated to creating an outstanding banking experience for our communities through their exceptional employee ownership culture. Another wonderful day of learning and leadership! 🙌 #LeadershipMcKinney #Education #WorkforceDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth
