Congratulations to our partners at The Minneapolis Foundation, Midwest Environmental Justice Network, RE-AMP Network, and the team at NDN Collective on launching this effort!
📣 Big news for grant applicants! Today we're launching a $40 million grant program that will support community-led environmental justice and public health projects across a six-state region. The Great Lakes Environmental Justice Thriving Communities grantmaking program serves Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and 36 federally recognized tribal nations. This three-year program will empower local communities to address the environmental priorities that matter to them, from clean air and water to equitable access to healthy food. Nonprofit organizations, local and tribal governments, and institutions of higher education are welcome to apply. This program is made possible by a major public investment in local communities through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA selected a partnership composed of the Midwest Environmental Justice Network, Minneapolis Foundation, NDN Collective, and RE-AMP Network to distribute grants in the Great Lakes region.
