📢 Mission Strong: Strengthening Maryland's Military & Veteran Community On December 4, the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families (DVMF), in partnership with Fort Meade, hosted the Mission Strong Summit, a collaborative event designed to address critical issues impacting Maryland's military families, Veterans, and the communities that support them. The day began with an engaging fireside chat featuring Secretary Tony Woods (DVMF) and Command Sergeant Major Richard C. Moore (Fort Meade). One participant shared: "I appreciated the fireside chat, as it provided a big-picture view of the resources and actions in Maryland benefiting military and Veteran families. I learned about many initiatives I had no idea were happening, and it was great to hear about the ongoing efforts to improve the military and Veteran community." Following the fireside chat, participants broke into targeted breakout sessions, tackling key challenges and identifying actionable solutions to strengthen our military and Veteran communities. 💡 Thank you to all who joined us for this impactful event. Together, we are #MissionStrong! We’re already looking forward to continuing this important work at the next Community Partner Summit! #MilitaryFamilies #Veterans #Collaboration #MarylandVeterans #DVMF

🌟In August, Governor Wes Moore reaffirmed Maryland's unwavering commitment to Military and Veteran caregivers by joining the Hidden Heroes campaign, in partnership with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. This initiative directly impacts the over 150,000 military-connected caregivers across the state, ensuring they have the resources, recognition, and support they deserve. Maryland is proud to lead by example in recognizing their contributions and providing pathways to support their journey. 🌟 "The Elizabeth Dole Foundation was one of the first non-profits to partner with our department as part of Maryland Joins Forces initiative. Together, we are committed to uplifting our Military and Veteran Caregivers because we know that when a family thrives, the Veteran and Service Member thrives too.", Secretary Anthony Woods 🌟 Read more about the announcement and our ongoing efforts here: https://rpb.li/BEGZIm and https://rpb.li/uqioWy #MilitaryCaregivers #HiddenHeroes #MarylandJoinsForces #DVMF
