Proud to support this group. This club was an important part of my time 4 years at CSU. They are trying to take things to the next level by going to competition this spring. Please donate and help them make it happen! Go Rams! Do you ever wonder what impact university projects have on the community and students? CSU's Dr. Sam Bechara shares some insight into how CSU's engineering students are "Engineering with Purpose." This thoughtful article, published in IEEE Pulse, discusses the impact community service-based projects have on future engineers while also providing students with a sense of giving back. https://lnkd.in/gDH3CVKd

I am pleased to share that I have completed a 10-week summer REU program at Colorado State University. This incredible experience allowed me to dive deep into research focused on advancing our transition from a carbon-based to a carbon-free economy. My work primarily involved exploring innovative methods for hydrogen production using AEM electrolyzers—a crucial step in creating renewable energy solutions. I am immensely grateful for the guidance and support of my mentors, whose expertise and encouragement were invaluable throughout this journey. I am eager to see the continued progress of the lab’s projects and remain inspired by the impactful work being done. Thank you to everyone at the lab for an unforgettable experience and for contributing to a brighter, more sustainable future. You truly made this a transformative summer. #CSU #REU #MechanicalEngineering #NSF

Colorado State University Energy Institute researcher Noah Horesh, Ph.D. was recently quoted in the Chicago Tribune discussing electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. "But a main reason people might be hesitant to purchase an EV is the difficulty of accessing charging, especially at home. That creates a 'chicken-or-the-egg scenario." In his study published in Nature Communications, Noah delves into electric vehicle adoption in the United States. His research uncovers variations in cots and greenhouse gas emissions for different vehicle categories, charging systems, and locations. We had a great time hosting students from all over the country for our Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program this summer!
Last week at the Powerhouse campus, a group of undergraduate students from across the United States shared their engineering research experience through a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) summer program at CSU. Directed by Professor Tami Bond, this program pairs mentors with students and provides meaningful involvement in ongoing research for undergraduates.

Congratulations to Soham Ghosh who was recognized as an ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Rising Star! This award honors early-career researchers who have been recognized by NSF CAREER, or by other prestigious organizations and awards. Last year, Soham received an NSF Early-Career award for his cellular mechanobiology research. He will be recognized for this achievement and present his research at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) this fall. Congratulations, Soham! https://lnkd.in/gs8nmeSi CSU Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering | CSU School of Biomedical Engineering | Research at Colorado State University
