About us
Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is a non-profit organization that enables seniors homebound people to eat well and remain in their own homes. Our dedicated staff and volunteers prepare and deliver over 1,300,000 nutritious meals a year. But Meals on Wheels is more than a meal—we also provide grocery shopping, phone pals, and other support services to help our clients maintain independence and peace of mind.

I recently had the rewarding opportunity to volunteer with Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc. alongside colleagues from American College of Healthcare Executives and Maryland Association of Health Care Executives. It was inspiring to see such a dedicated group come together to serve our Baltimore community and ensure they had access to nutritious meals! Experiences like this remind me of the critical role food security plays in supporting overall health and well-being. Small actions can make a big difference! Last Friday, I was honored to be able to support our Baltimore seniors throughout Central Maryland by volunteering with American College of Healthcare Executives and Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc. Together with Sarah Disney and Maryland Association of Health Care Executives, I reconnected with great colleagues Michael H. Forde, DrPH, MSPH and Amy Alsante, DNP, NE-BC, LSSGB, CHEP to pack 292 meals including 1,168 dinners and fruit cups, and 584 juices and breads. Yeah, we were on a mission. Special thanks to the staff on South Haven street for supporting us, guiding us, and allowing us to continue to participate on a yearly basis.
