If you are considering replacing your V60s please take them time to look at the Panther 5N.
Why is the Panther 5N the solution to replace the Phillips v60? Here are a few points to consider. 1. Does not require a proximal flow sensor (many of the NIV vents do). 2. Does not required a dedicated circuit, meaning works with a dual limb circuit or a coaxial circuit. 3. Due to the Smart Trigger on the Panther 5N dealing with leaks is a non-issue. Meaning you can use non-exclusive vented masks which are far more comfortable for the patient. 4. The modes found on the Panther 5N are NIV modes (AVAPS, S/T, PCV, CPAP) and not invasive ventilator modes. 5. Delivers the set volume regardless of leaks unlike many other invasive ventilators that can only partially compensate effectively not knowing what is delivered to the patient and when using AVAPS that is important 6. Emergency invasive ventilation modes. 7. An Intuitive user interface that is easy to use for the clinician. 8. HFOT is stand and not an option on the Panther 5N. 9. Integrated nebulizer.
