📢 The second round of pledging for the #MobilityTransitionPathway is now open! 🛣 The MTP is one of 14 ‘Transition Pathways’ covering a specific key sector of the European economy, a policy agenda-setting exercise, which provides the #EuropeanCommission with a better understanding of how and where it should increase support and funding activities. By pledging, you can help shape the future of cycling in Europe and secure the resources needed to accelerate growth in the industry. 🎉 In the first round cycling Industry companies and associations have shown a high level of interest and engagement, submitting 47 of the 80 published pledges on a variety of topics. 🚲 Now, cycling companies and associations with objectives such as becoming more sustainable, digitalisating, generating better data and much more are invited to apply again. 🎉 Two new Variable Message Signs (VMS) have been installed in Københavns Kommune, thanks to the MegaBITS project! ℹ️ These signs are part of the city's VMS network, designed to inform cyclists about events that might disrupt their usual routes. The City of Copenhagen (Københavns Kommune) is conducting a market dialogue for secure bicycle parking (e.g. bike boxes or lockers), along with potential pilot projects, and wants to receive input from companies providing relevant solutions. 🤝 What a nice exchange we had last week at the joint MegaBITS-MERIDIAN EU Corridor workshop on cycling infrastructure. 🚲 The session brought together 30+ stakeholders in the realm of smart cycling to address the challenges and opportunities in fostering smarter and more sustainable cycling infrastructure. 🛣 It’s great to collaborate with other ITS initiatives such as MERIDIAN. 👀 Policymakers, how can you ensure that people discover your cycling app in a market crowded with millions of others? ✅ The MegaBITS team has thought this through! During their meeting in Le Havre Seine Métropole, project partners dedicated an entire workshop to tackling this challenge using the AARRR framework: Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, and Revenue. 📱 Providing valuable data, such as Floating Bike Data or cyclists' feedback on routes, is a key advantage cycling apps offer to local administrations.
