Meet Shane. Last week I ran a workshop on how Sr software engineers,  can work on AI side projects to make 100-210$/hr. In the session, Shane shared his career story and why he chose to work on the Mercor platform after working at Amazon. His reasons: - Flexibility. Time, location, lifestyle. Meet Nancy. After finishing her undergrad, she was named a Marshall Scholar and got an MSc with distinction from Oxford. She then received her JD from Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude. She began her legal career at an elite NYC litigation boutique, clerked on the Second Circuit, and, most recently, was an AI Project Fellow at the Berkman Klein Center. Even cooler, she is an expert-level skier, crewed a boat that sailed from Rhode Island to Michigan, and founded an education non-profit that was acquired. Now, she’s killing it as a Strategic Projects Lead on our Operations team. Nancy has an incredibly unique background, and we’re so excited to have her on the team. Meet Calix. He sold a company while in high school. Dropped out of his freshman year in college to found a YC company. Was one of the youngest full-time employees at Ramp. Craziest of all, he just turned 20. I joined Mercor because I wanted to work with people like Calix. 🤖 My experience working as a Mercor contractor for 3 months I’ve been working with Mercor as a contractor to help train an AI model for one of the leading AI research labs globally by refining it to reason and think more like a management consultant.
