Banks of all shapes and sizes can't afford to have their engineers maintain their customer-facing ERP integrations. How do we know? We surveyed business leaders at 260 banks through a 3rd-party research tool (Centiment) and found that banks that maintain ERP integrations in-house are struggling mightily with product innovation and employee retention. It's hard building out integrations especially when you don't know what your next customer will be using. Thats why we decided to focus on building what matters and let Merge handle the rest.

Co-Founder at Merge | Hiring in NYC, SF, & Berlin!

2024 has been a year of incredible growth for Merge, both in our customer base and product. We’re proud to call numerous industry leaders new Merge customers — BambooHR, Deluxe, and hundreds more. But reflecting back, it’s hard to believe how much better we’ve also made the Merge product. This year, we: - Launched numerous enterprise-grade security features (I personally built Audit Trail and still haven’t shut up about it internally) - Made syncs several times faster through concurrency, data storage specialization, and numerous features for filtering out unnecessary data - Released translations of the Merge product in several languages - Lowered average latency below 300ms even for the largest response bodies - Deployed over 1,500 improvements to our ever-expanding collection of over 250 integrations - Launched dozens of features that work for all integrations Thank you to all of our customers and partners for a great year. We’re so excited to show you what’s coming in 2025! Check out my co-founder Shensi Ding-Lopez’s great 2024 recap: https://lnkd.in/dhuugtJX

Co-Founder at Merge | Hiring in SF + NYC + Berlin

As 2024 comes to an end, it's been incredible to zoom out and look at the growing list of customers who trust Merge to power their integrations. From the world's leading financial services companies to all-in-one HR products to bleeding-edge AI startups, we've loved every minute of making secure data access easy for our 13,000+ customers. This year we’ve:  - Onboarded market-leading companies, like Remote, BambooHR, Corpay, and Deluxe - Helped SaaS companies, like Electric, save hundreds of engineering hours - Added dozens of new integrations - Opened an office in Berlin and built an amazing go-to-market team there As our customers moved upmarket in 2024, we've also tailored our product roadmap to meet their needs, doubling down on our existing categories and investing heavily in product quality, scalability, and security. None of this would have been possible without our incredibly hard working, brilliant, and hilarious team members in SF, NYC and Berlin. I'm so grateful for all of you, and very proud of what we accomplished this year. Check out our 2024 recap here:

We're excited to announce that we've acquired Carbon, a retrieval engine that connects external data sources to large language models. Soon, we'll integrate Carbon's data connectors into our tech stack, allowing users to connect apps like Notion and Google Docs directly to Perplexity. We believe your AI should be personal to you — at home, work, or on the go — and data connectivity is a key part of everyone's daily workflows. Carbon will make it easier for Perplexity's answer engine to be informed by diverse sources of information, whether that data resides in internal databases, cloud storage, or document repositories. As part of the acquisition, we're excited to welcome all members of the Carbon team to Perplexity to expedite our roadmap and ship new features faster. https://lnkd.in/gFDjzw6z

Yesterday, I posted that the only AI advantage that companies have is data. Today, Perplexity backed that up with their announcement that they are acquiring https://carbon.ai/. The future of AI is data and the future of data movement is Merge. Build once, connect hundreds of deeply integrated data sources to your LLM. Congrats to both teams -- excited to be in this space with such innovative companies.

Starting early next year, Perplexity will not just let you search over the web. It will also connect to your Notion, Docs, Slack, and more. I am excited about the Carbon AI team joining us to work on this! Rather than making users search through many different web pages, apps, and messages to find the answer they're looking for, we see a future where Perplexity does the research for you, bringing the most critical insights across sources together as part of the answer. Carbon will simplify the process for our users to connect the data sources that matter to them. 2024 has been a year of unprecedented growth for us and we look forward to executing on the vision of building the central knowledge base that connects to the web, your files, and your apps. https://lnkd.in/g_nyvPVV
