Happy to share insights from the recent webinar co-hosted by META BUILD Horizon Europe Project, Push2Heat, and SPIRIT Horizon Europe Project on Excess Heat Recovery and how to drive the circular economy in industrial and urban settings. We had the privilege of hearing from: 📃 Reuven Paitazoglou from the Fraunhofer IIS highlighted a case study on waste heat recovery at a paper mill, showcasing the potential of high-temperature heat pumps to recover excess heat within industrial processes. ⚗️ The potential of industrial HPs lies in enabling INDUSTRIAL SYMBIOSIS, a concept presented by Lieven Demolder of Ghent University with an example of industrial symbiosis in the chemical and manufacturing sectors. 💄 Finally a great example of URBAN-INDUSTRIAL symbiosis was presented by Laura Alonso Ojanguren from TECNALIA Research & Innovation where waste heat from a district heating network was upgraded to generate steam for a metal processing plant producing cosmetic and perfume Don’t miss the article and recording, find out more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dbmCCd9u

🚀What an incredible 3 days last week for META BUILD Horizon Europe Project! We had a fantastic experience at the EU Projects Zone 🇪🇺 at Enlit Europe where we showcased the best of EU-funded energy research alongside inspiring synergy projects ⚡️EVELIXIA Project, WeForming, ENERGATE Project, SRI-ENACT and more . It was a privilege to share our progress with so many engaged visitors!
