Internet infrastructure for the enterprise.
About us
Meter provides internet infrastructure for businesses. Headquartered in San Francisco, we were founded in 2015 to build enterprise-grade networks that are faster, more accessible, and more secure. Our full-stack approach combines hardware, software, and operations so that any company can seamlessly run on a reliable and modern network. We believe the internet is a fundamental utility that businesses should be able to turn on as easily as water and electricity. Our team includes people who have helped scale successful companies and recent graduates who are eager to learn and build. We’re looking for people who are excited to work on interesting problems, enjoy learning from and helping each other, and above all, are kind and ambitious. We’re building for the long term, and we’re just getting started.

Meter announced Cellular Neutral Host on #CBRS back in October with a release date of early 2025. I was invited to the #MeterUp event and got some one-on-one time to discuss the Meter Cellular product with Anil and Charlie as part of Tower's Edge. In anticipation for the upcoming release of Cellular in the coming months, I dig into the Meter Way of Networking, including Cellular.

Come work with this kind and ambitious team 🤝 https://lnkd.in/g4T8chN2
Our demand for talent across all functions at Meter is accelerating. In service of that, I’m sharing a common talk track we have with candidates: 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿. Our recipe for that includes: • Building innovative products in a massive market • A high bar for kind and ambitious talent • Limited top down guidance Each ingredient has sharp edges: • Our market is not easy. There is no overnight success in building infrastructure. The market’s default setting is aversion to new and different. Mistakes carry high friction for our customers and us. • Hiring can be painfully slow. Those we hire have even higher bars for themselves and are rarely satisfied. • Task lists aren’t handed down. Failure rates are higher. Self-direction and creativity are essential to allocating your time. Over the past five years we have used this recipe to build a team and product that gives Meter a chance to deliver our new infrastructure to the market. The next five years will be a test of our ability to execute on that. Success will require innovative differentiation in each part of our operating model – the burden and opportunity of vertical integration. So - • If this piques your interest: reach out • If you’re already talking to us: stress test this in your conversations
