We recently partnered with Project Transitions, a local nonprofit, to build affordable housing in Austin for people living with HIV and AIDS. Burnet Place opened this winter, offering 61 units contained within a midrise building centered by a courtyard. “At the heart is a warm and welcoming courtyard with a sunlit porch, community garden and quiet walking paths. We hope that we’ve created a home where residents can feel comforted and supported, and where they can thrive.” - Maija Kreishman, AIA Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/gG-xJ4Vc

Honored to have been a part of the team behind Howard Post, an adaptive reuse mixed-use project in Pflugerville. Thank you, CultureMap Austin, for the feature.
✨ Exciting News! ✨ We’re thrilled to announce the opening of Old Gregg Brewing Company at our Howard Post property! 🍺🎉 This one-of-a-kind destination features incredible craft brews and sodas from the talented duo Kirby Kirkconnell and Matt Couch, paired with mouthwatering creations from none other than recently Michelin-starred chef John Bates. A huge shoutout to the team at Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, who did an outstanding job designing the space. Drawing inspiration from classic Texas barns, they’ve created a truly stunning setting to gather and celebrate. 🌾✨ Whether you're here for the drinks, the food, or the atmosphere, we can't wait for you to experience it all. See you there! 👏 #OldGreggBrewing #HowardPost #TexasCraftBrews #MichelinChef #TexasBarnDesign

Thank you, Dezeen, for the feature on Balboa Surf Club. “Texan studio Michael Hsu Office of Architecture borrowed from mid-century modern design to create the Balboa Surf Club restaurant, which features lush plants, rich-toned wood and green upholstery. Mid-century residential notes are thoughtfully contrasted with elements inspired by Brazilian brutalism for a timeless feel.” Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/gxUnyVbS

Culture Map featured our honorary Design For All partner, Abigail E. Keller, and the importance of their cause. According to Children's Respite Homes in America, as of 2023, there were only six of such homes in the United States, which makes the plans unveiled at the August 24 Abbey Lights Up COTA Gala incredibly unique. "This balance of tranquility and whimsy will set a new benchmark in pediatric respite and hospice care, enriching the lives of children and their families in Texas.” -Brian Carville, MHOA Thank you, Culture Map.
