Spotlight of the week: Jake Pant Celebrating 9 Years in the Trade 🎉🔧 I started my journey in this trade as a senior in high school, landing an internship that sparked my passion, I had designed my first mold shortly after graduation 🛠️✨ I focus on designing molds, leading design reviews with mold makers and customers, and when things slow down, I enjoy hitting the shop floor to help out and stay hands-on. 👨💻➡️👷 Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and little girl, and I enjoy hunting. 🏹👨👩👧 If I could pick a superpower? Superhuman strength 💪 One piece of advice I’d give anyone starting out: find a mentor who truly cares about helping you become the best version of yourself. 🙌 Working for Michigan Tool Works has been an incredible experience. His first role was with Cobra Motorcycles as a production laborer. He then spent a decade at Bronson S&R, where he honed his skills in a job shop environment focused on low-volume parts developing expertise in programming, milling, wire, and EDM equipment. Following that, he joined Regal Mold as a junior mold builder. A year ago, Jeff joined Michigan Tool Works as a full-time programmer, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication. 📅 Daily Routine: Jeff’s primary focus is programming. Once he’s set up the day’s plans, he steps onto the shop floor to assist with running machines and filling in wherever needed. He takes pride in ensuring that Michigan Tool Works invests in the right components at the best quality and price. 🎉 Hobbies: Jeff loves golfing and, together with his wife, enjoys exploring new restaurants—making it a point to try a new spot each month! 🔮 Superpower Wish: If he could have any superpower, Jeff would choose time travel—who wouldn’t want a sneak peek into the future? 💡 Career Advice: For young people entering the trade, Jeff emphasizes the importance of having a willingness to learn and listen to mentors.
